“Merry X-Mas at CE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2009

My husband and I spent Christmas weekend at CE. The renovations to the rooms were greatly needed and they now look fantastic! The beds and comforters were sleep heaven. We did the Christmas Buffet at the Versailles and the food was ok but not worth the $55 a person. We ate at Paddys and the food was average. We skipped the spa this time around it's like cattle call and the services were not that great. The staff was great but the front desk staff needs to improve their customer service and put a smile on their face. Overall the stay was great except for the last day when the 2 kids next door checked in and proceeded to scream their lungs out. Also, they need to can the $12 a day internet service that sucks!

Enjoyed an overnight trip to Chateau Elan - the room was nice, very comfortable bed. Nicer than the average hotel room. The grounds are pretty & apparently attract a lot of weddings - there were 3 when we were there. Staff was very pleasant. The spa is nice - could use a little sprucing up - but the services were great. The restaurant, Le Clos, was horribly expensive & not up to par at all. Did not dine at the other restaurants. If we came back - we'd opt for a package that includes some spa services vs. the dining credit we opted for during this stay. Only problem I have with coming back here - if their "best" restaurant is NOT good - what does that say for the other restaurants? Let's just say, I don't think this is a good foodie destination.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for our 20 year Wedding Anniversary. When we got to our room, there was a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! We had a nice dinner at the Winery and a nice breakfast at the Inn. We also had Spa services which were wonderful and very relaxing! We had a great anniversay at Chateau Elan!

My wife and I stayed at Chateau Elan this past weekend and had a fantastic time. The new Hotel Rooms are beautiful and every staff member we encountered from driving up thru the beautiful grounds to check out genuinely cared about our experience. The food was great and hot! I had one of the best massages of my life at the Spa and my wife raved about her facial and nail services. I did not mind the service charge tacked on as most of the resorts I stay in do this so you don't have to worry about tips after you are totally relaxed! Loved the afternoon tea and choice of music! Our only regret was not signing up for a cooking class - they looked fun! That will be a must for next time.

We ahd a great relaxing weekend here at Chateau Elan, we will definently be back. We arrived and relaxed by the pool for a bit and then walked over to Paddy's Pub, an authentic Irish pub built in Ireland and brought over and rebuilt on the property. The fish and chips were amazing. It was nice to have this little pub across the parking lot from the refined hotel. We woke late SSaturday morning and had the breakfast buffet which was very pleasing and then took off to walk the 1.8 mile nature trail. Very relaxing and a nice walk not too strenuous. We had a spa appointment for a couples massage at 11:30, both my girlfriend and I thought it was the best we had ever had. We nexttook a short nap than went over to the winery, a short walk across the parking lot also and joined the winery tour and winetasting. It was a great and relaxing day. One of the best weekends i've spent, i didn't turn the TV on once and for me that is unheard of. If you want a very relaxing and entertaining getaway this is a great find. Highly reccommend.

Husband & I spent our 25th there. Room was decorated with rose petals on bed and in and around tub, lined with candles..Just beautiful...We had chocolate covered strawberry's in fridg along with a bottle of champagne. Very quiet elegant place. The winery was nice and the hotel in general was elegant. We had a couples spa visit, massage in same room, spa looked like it need updating compared to others I have been too. Massage was okay, had better. It is a great place to spend an anniversary or special occasion.

Service and amenities in spa were excellent. We did not encounter one staff member who did not make an effort to ensure that our visit was memorable.
