“Terrific dinner at the winery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2012 via mobile

We recently enjoyed a fantastic 6 course dinner with perfect wine pairings at Chateau Élan. The atmosphere, food and wine were all first rate. Chef Marc and guest Chef Boyd were entertaining and very engaging.

We can hardly wait to visit Chateau Élan again!

My wife and I wanted a spa weekend retreat. We chose Chateau Elan since it's an easy drive from Atlanta and you can actually stay in the spa guest rooms.

We arrived late on Friday, and they were very welcoming, offering champagne during our check in process. The Assistant Spa Director, Crystal, stopped by while we were checking in and introduced herself, letting us know that she would be there all weekend in case we needed anything. It was a nice touch and we actually saw her many times throughout the rest of the weekend. She greeted us by name every time and by the end of the weekend, it felt like home.

The bellman was great, showed us to our room and then explained the extensive features in detail. The spa rooms are outstanding, as they had just finished a complete renovation of the rooms, lobby and treatment areas. My wife, who loves high design, was even impressed. The bath room has an air jet tub, which you have to try.

We both had mulitple spa treatments throughout the weekend and we were very impressed with the facilities and people. Peaceful ambiance with very pleasant people. The hot tub overlooking the grounds was nice as well. It is so convenient to stay in the spa as you can just walk in your robes to breakfast, steam room, sauna, indoor pool or treatement rooms. We loved it.

We had meals in the spa restuarant, Cafe Elan and Versailles. Service was personal every time and the food was perfect. The spa restaurant had healthly choices, which was assumed, and the meals were very good. Steak in Cafe Elan was memorable as well. Drinks in Paddy's one night and Lauberge the next. Paddy's had a great Irish singer and Lauberge had Melvin, a great musician and entertainer.

There were a lot of couples and girls' weekends happening while we were there and we spoke to some in casual conversation. All were having a great time.

Overall, I was very impressed with Chateau Elan. My wife loved it as well, which is not an easy thing to accomplish. It was just the right amount of luxury and comfort. We really felt a world away, even though it's only 40 minutes from our home. We will absolutely be back to stay at the spa.

Room Tip: Highly recommend the spa rooms. 'm not sure all the spa rooms have an air jet tub, so be sure t...

I was blown away by the beauty and elegance of this resort. It has everything.. an inn and conference center, a winery with surrounding vineyards, a spa, a variety of bars and restaurants and 63 holes of golf and yet Chateau Elan had a very intimate and comfortable feeling. Our room at the inn was clean and well appointed with comfy beds and a large elegant bathroom. The centerpiece of the inn is a huge sun drenched atrium where the Versailles Restaurant is located, however even this large public space felt warm and inviting with lush plantings and intimate seating areas. The burgers, fish and chips and beer were good at Paddy's Irish Pub and we enjoyed excellent food (melt-in-your-mouth fillet mignon) at Cafe Elan in the Winery. The most memorable experience was a visit to the Spa. The Spa has 14 rooms of its own in addition to a restaurant, beautiful treatment rooms, a pool, whirlpool, steam rooms, etc. The staff was warm, gracious and attended to every detail to create a relaxing experience before, during and after my facial/massage. In fact, the staff members in all areas of this resort were one of the friendliest, attentive and helpful staffs I have encountered in all of my travels. Love, love love this place. Go there and enjoy!

Room Tip: The loft rooms in the spa are amazing, plus you never have to leave the spa if you don't want to...

I have been to many resorts, even those known for their service, yet this exceeded all our expectations. The ambiance was inviting and restful. Yet there were many activities to vie for our attention. The staff was always pleasant and attentive, we lacked for nothing. A bottle of wine in our room and a gourmet meal was a lovely evening and breakfast buffet had unusual treats including blintz's and bagels and lox as well as made to order eggs and pancakes. Bed comfortable and linens great. I would heartily recommend this resort.

I took my girlfriend to Chateau Elan for her 24th birthday. Our package included a King suite with dinner for two at Cafe Elan and breakfast at Versaille. The room was great, not huge but more than accomodating for what we paid. Dinner was perfect. Two appetizers, two entrees and two deserts. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. There had been storms recently that had fried a hard drive so they were unable to code door keys for us when we arrived. They had a member of their staff in every hallway to allow people into their rooms so we never had to wait. The issue had been taken care of and keys provided by 8pm. We did not feel inconvinienced in any way but were still presented with a voucher for a free nights stay at a later date. I will most certainly come back. Maybe we will enjoy some spa services our next go around!!

I have traveled abroad and within the US and have never experienced such wonderful service as I did at Chateau Elan. The friendliness, excellent service, beautiful rooms, gorgeous scenery, and immediate attention that was bestowed upon us was amazing. The tour of the Winery was so much fun and informative. The staff was one of the best I have encountered. It would be the perfect place for a wedding, romantic get-a-way, or just a piece of heaven on earth to enjoy for a weekend or a week or two.

Room Tip: We had the governor's suite this time but any of the rooms are gorgeous. It did make a differenc...

i knew for my birthday i wanted to explore a winery and if possible stay overnite. well when i stumbled across the Chateau Elan winery and resort, and saw they offered the "WineMaker Wanna Be" package i couldnt wait to get there! this place is remarkable! from A to Z everything is up to par! i fell in love from the time i was greeted at check in. the service alone was the best. i loved the spacious room and bath tub(for two!) the Winemaker Wannabe was tons of fun! afterwards, the L'Auberge Lounge offered great music and food! Breakfast at Versailles offered a great spread outside from the traditional breakfast items...i appreciated all the of the minor details too!( transporation provided throughout the property).the grounds were well kept as i was able to get some great photo shots as memories of such exquistie resort! without hesitation, i would recommend this getaway to wine, dine, and relax!
