Tucked away in in the high country at the Georgia Tennessee border is a jewel of a seafood emporium, Southern Highlands Seafood. A fresh product liimits the hours here as they are only open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. And when it's gone the lights dim as there wil be no more until next weeks run down to the Gulf of Mexico for another haul of fresh shrimp, snapper, grouper, crab and oysters. One staple is the mountain trout that is always available. It's even better when Tim Hoyle and his boys smoke trout over open pits of smoldering apple wood. This is a family business and the men of work extra hard to see to it that momma's always happy. Fresh plates of fried or grilled mahi mahi, shrimp and the ever popular trout are available for customers to enjoy on the side car veranda or for take out. It's always Florida fresh at Southern Highland Seafood.
