“Great mountain getaway”

We stayed at My Mountain cabins and they were great. Our cabin had 4 fireplaces,a hot tub, pool table and other ammenities. A trip to Shoebooties restaurant in Murphy, N.C. is a must. Only a 20 miinute ride. We went for our 25th anniversary and loved it. We also took a fishing charter with Capt. Josh Garrison on Lake Nottely and caught striped bass. spotted bass and largemouth bass. As a captain he is one of the best I've ever fished with and we're from Florida.Blue Ridge has alot of quaint shops for antiquing and shopping.(My wifes kind of thing) Suprising for a small mountain area there are enough restaurants to meet any type of food you wish.The hometown folks couldn't be nicer. A great vacation spot thats not at all a tourist trap. How refreshing being from Florida to get away and have peace and quiet with no traffic and truly nice people!!!!

“Helton Creek Cottages Are Fantastic”

I pastor a Church here in Valdosta. When I get to the point of burn out, I head straight to Helton Creek Cottages, just South of Blairsville on Hwy. 129.

When it seems that I just can't make another day, the beauty of the Blairsville area in the North Georgia Mountains, seems to be the perfect solution. Just to get away with God and experience Him in this setting is such a wonderful blessing.

I'm so blessed to have a church that sees my need for periodic sabaticals. and Helton Creek Cottages to call my home away from home.
