“The Top of Georgia!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

I have visited Brasstown Bald many times over the years in Spring, Summer and Autumn and have hiked to the top as well as taking the shuttle bus up. Never have I been disappointed- even in cloudy weather the experience is well worth the trip...ah but the views when the weather fully cooperates! The views in each direction are breathtaking-the very best that the state of Georgia has to offer. The peaks and distant ridges stretch out like waves of the sea disappearing in the horizon faintly visible in smoky haze outlines. The view is akin to a spiritual experience! The educational exhibits and film will help you appreciate the mountain even more. If you miss Brasstown Bald you haven't experienced the best the Georgia mountains has to offer!

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

The panoramic views at Brasstown Bald are truly breathtaking. My fiancé and I visited the Bald at the end of fall so the trees were almost all stripped of their leaves. The staff members we encountered were very friendly. We will be visiting again soon.

“Knees are replaceable; Views are Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

The friendly man at the visitor kiosk said we could take the shuttle bus or walk the 0.6 mile trail. He forgot to mention the 500' elevation change on the trail -- 15% grade. But it was worth it. On a clear day one can see forever. OK, sounds corny, but the panoramic views are wonderful. So take the hike up and back or claim that you did. (We won't judge. Yes, we will.) Take in the natural wonder of the southern Apps.

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

Beautiful views, serene setting, hiking trails, visitor center, amenities. Definitely worth a visit, and the drive up is one of the most scenic in GA. Be aware during the off peak season you'll have to hike up from the main parking lot and all the facilities may not be open. They do get snow up there in winter which can affect hours.

“Great views.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Awesome views at the top. Don't walk up unless you're fit and ambitious.

There are vans that drive people to the top that are unable to do the hike.
