1st, trust your senses and step off Park Avenue into the serenity of Bosphorous. Not sure what to order? Ask your waitress/waitress. The staff knows their menu, flavors, ingredients.
My recommendation is to start with the lavas, oven-baked hollow bread with sesame seeds, with the sautéed eggplant for an "appetizer." In this case, the word appetizer is a joke, it is extremely filling, even when shared. Save some lavas to go with your entree.
As far as entrees, the Adana Kebabs are delicious in either chicken or lamb. The "gyro-like" lamb is the best that I have ever tasted, the tomato & okra with chicken is luscious. The rice & vegetable sides add savory turkish accents. Be prepared to have leftovers.
Two of us, with big appetites, shared the lavas, "Select Two" dips, and the mixed grill. We had enough leftovers for dinner the next night plus lunch for one.
