Ive only had their salad but it was huge..good too.

First trip to Harbor Side I had the best steak. It was cooked exactly as I wanted it, great flavor, and good value. I was very pleased. I loved the atmosphere as well, though they need to buy new tables and chairs. My second trip, I was more disappointed as I ordered the scallops & shrimp dish. It turned out to be 4 shrimp and 3 very overcooked scallops, not good at all and I sent it back. My husband had the grouper and loved it, but I don't eat grouper so can't comment on that. I'd go back, but order a steak for sure!

Every time we make our way to Florida we make sure we eat at Harbor Side. This past December we were there and ordered the seafood platter and it was excellent. There was enough food to share with two people. The service is always friendly and prompt and there are televisions if you want to eat and enjoy your favorite sporting event. I have a second home in Lakeland and when I am there, we make a trip to Harbor Side. We found it by accident several years ago, and now go there every trip.

Fried pickle chips and beer were the order of the day when I stopped at this lakeside eatery on a recent Sunday afternoon. Situated on Lake Shipp, it is a tranquil place to kill some time and kick back for awhile. I had to try the fried pickle chips - where else would I be able to find them? They were delicious and served with a side of ranch dressing. I also couldn't pass up the fried grouper, which was very fresh. Also available: fried green tomatoes, alligator and other seafood items. Incidentally, this restaurant is in walking distance from the Winter Haven Amtrak station.
