I have been at a few resorts over the years and I must rate the vacation village as just average for a resort. The amenities were less than I expected. There were many amenities that they don't offer. I used the Tennis courts only. Vacation Village wanted us to give them a $20 cash deposit for each player to reserve their tennis rackets. I explained that I rarely carry cash and thus went next door to the actual tennis facility where I was able to use their tennis rackets free of charge and only pay $5/player to reserve the court for an hour. The Wi-Fi and cell phone coverage was the worst that I have ever experienced. I have had better coverage in third world countries than I did at the Vacation Village. I had to make ALL cell phone calls out in the parking lot and then I was only able to get a max of 2 bars. However, as soon as I left the vicinity of resort ( about 2 blocks), I was able to get 4 bars everywhere I went. The problem is the resort not the service provider. I was all over Fort Lauderdale and Miami and coverage was great, except while on the resort property. If you want to stay in contact with civilization, don't use this resort, you will be very disappointed. If you goal is to just get away and not have any contact with anyone outside of the resort, this resort is for you because that is what you will get nothing.
