“Excellent hotel in the lovely Weston!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2012

Well, after having to deal with some schedule changes in our vacation we needed to find an affordable hotel in Miami-Fort Lauderdale area for the beggining of March, only for three days. It happens that we started to search for hotels the day before, so all the hotels we are used to stay were very expensive (Fairfield Inn at Miami Airport South was 219 bucks a day!!!). Fortunately we found this hotel in Weston, a lovely small town by the Everglades, and close to the Sawgrass Mills Mall, at a rather decent price (159 bucks a night).
The location is excellent, very quiet neighborhood (actually a commercial street, but very quiet). Real close you´ll some nice restaurants (Flanigan´s is very good!). We didn´t need to bother with parking spaces, there were plenty.
The breakfast was amazing, a chef was preparing omelets and eggs at request, there was also bacon, sausages, hamburger patties, scrambled eggs, juices, bagels, muffins, three kinds of milk and cereals.
The gym room was small, but I could do my workout all right. There is a nice pool and a hot tub also, although I never used them.
The rooms were quite large, comfy beds, just lovely.
The only problem I found came when I needed to print boarding passes. The computer reserved for that is awfully slow, it took me about half an hour to print the passes.
I would definitely stay here again as Weston is a very small charming town, with lots of trees, lakes, all very clean and beautiful. Must be a great place to live.

Room Tip: There´s an interstate that runs on the back of the hotel, but I didn´t really hear any noises.

Each time here, I find everything is as it should be. From Randal, the General Manager, to Ada at the front desk and Sandra in the restaurant, everyone does everything possible to insure that your stay is just perfect. If you need a referral for a restaurant, clothing store or simply directions to a local attraction, they are always ready and willing to help. You are never made to feel as if your questions are annoying as I have experienced at other locations. I have never had a reason to stay at another location when I visit this area.

Room Tip: They are all roomy, quiet and comfortable. I have been on all floors and each side over the last 3.5...

The service was spotty. Our room was a king suite, but it was really a standard room with a pull-out couch. We had to ask for bedding for the pull-out. The pool area was decent. The hotels computers were super slow.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, there were a lot of families with multiple kids (sports events) and the pool a...

The hotel is in a good location, and (for the most part) has friendly/professional staff.

We had ants in our bathroom, and maintenance responded promptly. However, the employee (male) at the front desk was very unprofessional. Upon calling him (to let him know there were ants in our room), his immediate response was "I cannot deductnanything from your bill". The purpose of the call was to letmhim know ofmthis issue, not to receive an deduction off the bill.

We booked a hotel at a different establishment. When we arrived there, we were disappointed, so we booked this hotel. To our amazement, it was EXTREMELY nice. It is a little difficult to find at first, but we were so happy we did. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautiful. The beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is great, and I feel that we're in a safe neighborhood. As other guests have indicated, the internet speed is poor and you will need a car to get around. You WILL feel safe, and you WILL sleep well. I'm very glad we made the switch.

Room Tip: Be sure to have a vehicle so you are able to get out and see the city

We've stayed in Weston every year for the past several years at the Weston Vacation Village and never knew the Marriott Courtyard existed. Reason we ended up here is because we were going on a cruise before moving to the Vacation Village. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check -in was fast. It was a bit difficult to find the hotel as it's hidden in an office complex. But, you do see it from the main road. I'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the entrance, away from the highway.

You will need a car to get around , but definately worth it. There are 6 floors and plenty of space. The pool is clean and relatively warm. Noone seems to use it so enjoy! There are plenty of strip malls with restaurants and shopping if you need anything.

Room Tip: Do not get a connecting room as you can hear through the closed door.
