I recently stayed at the vacation villas at bonaventure over the 4th of July week. We stayed at egret. Our unit was a 2 bedroom. We also had bugs (sugar ants) in our unit. I called down and they came up right away to spray. We live in Florida and sugar ants are everywhere. Our rug was stained also and the a/c unit was very loud. I may add that we were not in the unit a lot we were out and about so the noise did not bother us much. I did not like that we had to drive to the main pool where all the fun was taking place. The pool area did not have enough chairs for the guests. We felt that the staff seem to cator to the Spanish speaking guests as they spoke Spanish and not english. Even the music by the pool on the 4th was Spanish. We are lucky that we do understand some Spanish but others by the pool seem to be upset. As for the sale pitch, we also declined. We have stayed at this resort and their sister one in the same area, also in Orlando and west palm beach. They do the same thing as soon as you check in they send you to another desk to get your parking permit, that is where they tried to get you by giving you a lunch or dinner free, but you have to pay 20.00 for it and if you go they will give you a 75.00 gift card. As for the gift card not all places take it and plan on wasting most of the day talking to a high pressure sales person, even at the free lunch or dinner. After we declined, it was not over they called our room every day like clock work at 9:00am to tell us to come to the front desk for our free gift, ( to try to get us to the sales pitch). We ended up taking the phone off the hook. They even tried to call our cell. By the way the free gift is trial size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Save yourself a lot of hassle and go to the dollar store and buy 3 large bottles for 3.00. The whole reason we stay at this resort is the convenience of the location. It is very close to everything; the mall, hard rock casino, and beaches. most of all, the reason is the price. We exchange 5 points and 189.00 for 2 bedroom 3baths for a week. At that price you can't beat it. In fact, we are exchanging for the last week in July. We were able to get at last min a studio, again for the price, you can't go wrong.
I give the resort 3 stars.
