“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

I stayed at the Days Inn for a weekend and had a great stay. The management was very accommodating and the room was very clean. There is a IHOP attached to the hotel, which is very convenient. If you are considering this hotel, you should go ahead and book your stay at this Days Inn... you will not regret it! :)

Dear Valued Guest,

We are delighted that you chose the Days Inn West Palm Beach for your recent getaway and I am glad that we exceeded your expectations.

We are so glad that you enjoyed the ambience and the amenities of the hotel and that you were able to partake in the delicious food in the IHOP restaurant.

I very much appreciate your many compliments and we will share your review with all of our staff.

We look forward to another visit with you perhaps when the warm, sunny weather of Palm Beach beckons to you during the upcoming cold winter in the Northeast or whenever you need to rest, relax, and rejuvenate.

Thank you again for sharing your experience and have a wonderful day.

Best Regards,
Management and Staff

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, many days inn and I must say this is by far the worst hotel of them all. Pool was closed the entire trip. There was no towels or wash cloths. Management is also a joke! When I notified the front office that our towels that they gave us were covered in blood she responded by saying "ohh well tell management tomorrow" I suggest reconsidering this place. They truly ruined our vacation!

Please accept my sincere apology for the challenges you experienced during your stay. Relative to the housekeeping issues; the coments have been shared with the team and used as a training example. I am confident that the challenges have been remedied. We remain committed to doing all we can do to have every guest leave with great memories. I ask that you reconsider your position and offer us another opportunity to serve you.

We stayed here ONLY because our flight was cancelled in Ft Lauderdale and found another in WPB.. The rooms were fine, but when we decided to go to the pool we were met by 25 (pool rules said max 14 people) LOUD, ABNOXIOUS people.. There was no way we could have fit in the pool, there was also 3 other groups of people sitting at the table in disbelief..and when we went to complain the lady at the desk just laughed.. ( I figured maybe it was her family in the pool :))

We got to the hotel told "good news we have your reservation however we don't have hot water but if you don't mind cold showers you can stay" UNACCEPTABLE still trying to get my money back for the 2 nights. Glad we did not have to stay as the hotel looked very run down, and front desk staff very unpleasant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is indeed a budget accommodation. If you need an inexpensive place to stay for the night, this is it. That should be your expectation. We stayed here as a bridge-over from a late airport arrival on our way for vacation in this area. Do know that it is a "motel" setting. Your rooms will all face out open into the courtyard/pool area, you are not in a secured building. Our room had a musty but not unusual-to-motels smell. Got a little nervous when my husband said that he observed a silverfish in the bathtub. We then tried to use the in-room safe and determined that whoever was there previously (guest, housekeeping) had "closed" the door, thus rendering it useless to us because it must be open for you to create your own security code. We called down to the front desk and they sent maintenance up. The maintenance man spent about 10 minutes with the safe, and then proceeded to tell us that it would take at least 15 minutes to reset, something to do with the programming function. Tired and hungry, we passed on that. We then went down to the adjoining iHop restaurant which had OK service and food, but there was a noticeable musty odor there. The final frustration, however, was when we got up in the morning and the left faucet (hot water) knob to the shower was jammed tight and inoperable. We again called down to the front desk and was told someone would be on their way. 25 minutes later, after Atlas-like strength, my husband was able to jar the knob open. There should be basic expectations in a room, to be bug-free and to have ease of access to hot water in the morning. To management's credit, they did refund us $25 to the room. However, I would have traded that for a more pleasant experience. Lastly, someone earlier reviewing this motel suggested that patrons request a pool view. I would disagree; you may not be happy with what it is you are overlooking.

Room Tip: Opt for a room that is away from the pool, and check the bathtub and safe before settling in.

Once again, we had previously stayed at this hotel about a year ago and even then, were not impressed with it. You must leave a $50 deposit either by cash or credit card which is refunded upon check out. We had waited 45 minutes for them to check the room which cost us additional money to pay our labor crew who were waiting for us. This time, we went in - and promptly went out! On top of the $50 deposit, while there is sufficient tractor trailer parking, they do allow pets but for a fee of $30!!! Which is non-refundable. The cost of the room? $116!!! for one night! I would expect this at the Atlantic City casinos but this Day's Inn just off the highway with not a lot around other that a few fast food chains and an IHOP in front was, in my opinion, way out of line! The assistant manager, David Banos, was as rude and impolite as the first encounter so this was a strike right away against the place. But when I was told it would cost $199 for one evening, that was it! I would get $50 back in the morning but still - way too much money for these small and basic rooms which didn't offer much more than the bed, TV, internet and maybe a mini-fridge. Additionally, by the appearances it is also not in a very good neighborhood and is going downhill. I strongly advise anyone NOT to go to this Day's Inn. It is nothing but a huge dissappointment and at a huge price!

Room Tip: Go somewhere else! This Day's Inn is way over-priced and the help is rude!
