“Basic Accommodation in the middle of nowhere!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2009

Stayed here for a weekend in May at the end of our trip to Miami as we had to visit friends in Palm Beach. This is a very basic Hilton and I don't know what people are raving about. Very hard to find as other reviewers have said. Behind the car park of the Hampton Inn. We had a king size deluxe which was a long narrow room with a window which didnt open. The beds had tiny pillows and one of our party woke up with a stiff neck and shoulder after spending the night with the tiny uncomfortable pillows. Very dark and claustrophic. The phone didn't work and there was no in-room safe so we had to carry all our valuables down to reception where they kept them in a safety deposit box with a key, which we had to keep asking them to open to get anything out that we needed. Very inconvenient and very old fashioned. The breakfast was average and you had to ring a bell to ask the chef to make you an egg!! Coffee was out of paper cups from a machine. Definitely nothing to rave about! The location is a bit dodgy - the wrong side of the railway tracks literally as you have to cross the railway track to get to City Place shopping and to get to Palm Beach. We went north on Australian Avenue by mistake and ended up in a very dodgy area, which felt very intimidating. I would not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is next door to a Hampton Inn in a office complex. It's not clearly marked and (almost an afterthought) you drive through the Hampton parking lot to get to the HGI. Once you maneuver the mess they created, you'll have a great stay. The room size feels smaller more like a Hampton Inn. Staff was excellent. Perfect for the short stay!

From the moment we arrived we got a warm and professional welcome from Steve at the Front Desk including free upgrade to a suite.
Hotel is new, nicely designed and very clean.
On-site restaurant is a plus.
Conveniently close to I95 but you need a car (like you do in nearly any hotel in Florida...).
Would definitely stay here again.

Just returned from the hotel after a 3 week business stay). The staff, Michael, Satesh, Sabrina, Ryan, Josh and Victor made me feel as much at home as I could be for this extended stay. I would definitely recommend this HGI for your stay and will return for any future stays. Hotel is very clean, safe, free internet in room, comfortable bed, nice size bathroom. I am in the customer service industry and truly appreciate customer service at its best. Also rave reviews for Chef Frank, ate at hotel almost nightly and never disappointed (unusual for a 1st class chef at a hotel, however much appreciated). Not to much around hotel, however shuttle to City Place minutes away(great ambience with nice shops and restaurants) operates nightly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!!!

Just got back from staying at the HGI, and loved it. Beautiful decor, and right in the midst of everything-- though not much within walking distance. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and our room was huge (deluxe king). Beautiful decor, very clean, awesome pool. Had a very nice stay, very recommended.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2009

Stayed for 2 nights in February and were made very welcome by the manager and staff when we arrived. The bed was very comfy and the shower spot on. Hot Buffet breakfast was included in our rate and very good choice on offer. Also had a meal one night which was very good as was the service. There was a shuttle bus which took you to downtown which was a great night out. Nice pool area but weather not to good to try it out. Will definitely return here again when next in the area. Many thanks to the staff at this hotel who made our stay so enjoyable.
