“must have been an off night”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

ok i was in tequesta and visiting my folks --favourite place for early birds-
we had a great meal there and great service there 2 nights before now we were there again and wow
did they have a change in ownership---or what
no bread-when we asked about the bread-it is in the oven sir it will come
(never did) the dieters tilapia that I had just 2 days before ---was not the dieters tilapia
it was the bigger portion and DRY DRY DRY- in fact it tasted like the bottem feeder that is is known as - surly waitress
throws my mums salmon on the table oh by the way-they ran out of dill sauce --and the cook just told me now---we chose the dish for the dill sauce---like why didnt they tell us before it was thrown on the table ....and -like really you could not find the dill or butter- publix around the corner send ms surly there to pick some up--so the salmon was just as dry as the bottem fish---as my parents were dissappointed they vowed never to come back best part the hostess with the mostess asked how it was terrible i said much to the consternation of my dad who just wanted to get out of there----but wait it gets better--wait i will get the manager she says he needs to know
so here comes bob or what ever is name was -schooled in manager diplomacy--arms crossed not looking at me- he does the understand bit but why did you not complain-because hello we came for the early bird and one hour later the food showed up--every one knows you gotta feed the seniors promptly --did not dare to complain cuz we were HUNGRY any way the best line yet from BOB or what ever his name is ---he looks at me and my mum and says
"you ladies look like you enjoy cake- I was giving cake out today-have some cake on the house-" boy was he off the mark implying that we could have been bought with cake also i did not think i was looking like i had enjoyed cake-----was he schooled at marie antonette school- they are only seniors just let them eat cake.......anyway my mum who loves toojays will not be back and by the way the 100 dollar gift certificate i was going to buy for them---well that 100 dollars went down the road to another establishment-- i hope bob (i think that was his name-could have been another) enjoys his cake
my poor parents were mortified that it was sooo bad- and if you know my mums resolve she will not go back and she will tell all her early bird friends-she has many that she wont be back ----

“Geat Breakfast, reasonable pricing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

We had heard about Too Jays for years but had neglected to stop in. We decided to give them a try for breakfast and it was very good. I had the spinach and feta cheese omelet and the wife had ham and eggs. The omelet was very large and cooked just right. The ham was a large slice of ham, not a ham steak and her scrambled eggs where cooked just right, not to dry and not runny. The fried potatoes weren't over seasoned but had good flavor. The toast was served dry with pats of butter on the side.

The only down side was on this morning, service was slow. My coffee cup was kept full by staff but I finally had to flag someone down to get our check. Otherwise it was an excellent breakfast. This is someplace we're likely to return to for breakfast and I look forward to trying them for lunch. The menu has a good selection with reasonable prices

“When you want a NY stylkke Bagel This is the place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Friendly service and good value for your money. I love the smoked salmon on an everything bagel as it is always fresh. Mid day I find their soup and 1/2 sandwich just perfect and when I need comfort food a Shepherd's Pie really work as its so very tasty. Try their tomato dill soup on a rainy day so very yummy. The quality of Toojay's varies from locations I prefer the Toojay's in Lake Worth as its far superior to the one in Palm Beach. Service is great at the Lake Worth Location.

“Good service but the food was only ok.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

Food was served room temperature and mistakes were made. My daughter's deli dog was overlooked and hard to eat. The service was good, however.

“Consistently Very Good Place to Eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Have been going to Toojay's for many years. Our favorite is Downtown at the Gardens. Can't tell you too much about the menu because I basically order the same thing every time. Love their Rubens. You know that you are going to get a good meal and good service
