“Sadly, Not Good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

Had not been to the restaurant since it moved from across the street years ago. First, the service is very slow. They seem to survive on the mandolin music rather than food and service. Food was not seasoned, had something as simple as spaghetti and meatballs, not taste or flavor. Very unfortunate. At one time was a good place to eat, not anymore.

“aweful service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

took a party of 8 on a Monday night. The table was terrible - sat us next to the bathroom door ( I even called ahead with I hr. notice. We brought a birthday cake with us and when they offered to put it in the refrigerator I asked them to write Happy B-day on iy. The server nodded yes but it didn't happen. We ordered pizzas and salad but they were waaayyy slow all night long, we felt completely ignored. The coffee was mud (obviously old). At the end I asked for the cake, Claudio brought it but without silverware or plates. We had to get the bartender to fetch them for us. Will not return.

“our last visit”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Our most recent visit was on a Monday night. I called ahead and ask the for a table for a party of 8. The occasion was a birthday party, one of the girls had made a cake, I asked if we could bring it along and was told "no problem". We arrived and were sat in the back corner between the restroom door and the bar - strike one.

A server took the cake saying she would put it in the refrigerator for us. It didn't have any writing on it so I asked if they could write "Happy Birthday" for me, she nodded yes.

Claudio came for our drink orders, the root beer had very little syrup in it, my wife's coffee was thick as mud, obviously old and no creamer was brought with it. By the time we got ahold of someone for creamer the coffee was cold. This is how the evening started and went downhill from there.

We spent a total of 1 1/2 hrs. here and felt ignored most of the time. Service was extremely slow. Our orders were simple, 2 extra large pizzas and 2 large salads - nothing complicated. The salads took about 40 min. to arrive after we ordered them and the pizzas were 20 minutes past that. To be completely fair - the food was good, but the lousy seating and service offset this fact greatly. Strike 2.

At the end I asked for the cake. They brought it out promptly - without the promised "Happy Birthday" written on it and without plates, silverware or cake cutter. We waited another 10 min. before dispatching the bartender to help us out. He was great and brought us everything right away. Strike 3

As a rule I never complain while dining out for fear of tampering, have no idea if this would happen but don't want to chance it. Also, when we are dining out I want to have a good experience, keep positive and use this sight to review for others. I simple won't return to a bad experience. Zuccarelli's won't receive our business again.

P.S. The atmosphere in general is good, decorated nicely. I clicked on terrible because where we sat it was terrible, next to the restroom door beyond which is an exterior door where the help goes for smoke breaks, could smell it when someone went in to use the potty.

“A "Family Favorite" for 20 years!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

We just celebrated our nephews 18th birthday with family at Zuccarelli's and had a really great time. The food was amazing as always and the service was excellent. This restaurant has been our "family favorite" for over 20 years and we visit every chance get and especially when we have out-of-town guests. The owners treat us all like family as they do all those who eat there regularly. We go there for lunch and dinner. We go there with small groups, large groups and for date nights too. It is a great dining experience and we highly recommend it. We have tried so many things on the menu and have enjoyed it all. The menu has a wide variety of food and the menu is on their website. Usually we have a pasta dish but recently we ordered the pizza and it was made with their own homemade sausage - it was fantastic! We can't say enough about this restaurant and feel it is the best place to eat in town! A wonderful dining experience.....

“Good food Okay price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

We ate at Zuccarelli for the first time last night. The place seems to have a lot of returning guest and it seem everyone knew everyone. Service was very good and we have no complaints about the dinner choices we choose. The homemade salad dressings are great and the fresh baked bread was a nice touch. The crab stuffed mushrooms were awesome. Spaghetti & mild sausage and the veal & eggplant was good. The place has a nice bar area that stretches from inside to the outside seating area. The outside area also had a guy playing your favorite song on a piano.
We will return!
