“Tasty treats & more!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Lunching at this simply decorated , nicely located restaurant was fun. A group of seven nearly all chose something different. Shrimp shumei & traditional Pad Thai were delicious . Others had the Rork Buns and were pleased as well. But the desserts.. How often to u see such an extensive list of desserts.. Warm , gooey , sweet, decadent too few to name here! Just go ..

“Fresh delicious locally sourced friendly family atmosphere & very good prices :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012 via mobile

My fiancé is a Chef on yachts for the past 9yrs, he and I are based here for a few months. Palm sugar really is one of those finds you want to tell everyone you know about. The food is fresh home made tasty local, all staff are family so you feel like you are walking into a family instantly. The owner is such a lovely guy, he wants people's honest opinion on the food and how he can improve( we have yet to find anything that needs improving) enjoy.

“EXCELLENT! MUST GO!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

Hi All,

Here is my review of Palm Sugar;

Location: Clematis Street and Dixie. 3 Blocks from the Fountains downtown.
Decor: Simple. Tables and Chairs. Nice Size Bar in the back middle of floor. Left Hand side is a dessert bar.

Food: Amazing. Bursting with Flavors.
We started out with Dim Sum stuffed with shrimp and the Dim Sum pork. Both were tastey. They were on the Happy Hour Appetizer. We also tried the glazed short ribs. Very good. These were on the street food menu.

Dinner was Hong Kong Noodle Soup. It had beef that melted in your mouth, Shrimp Dumpling that was awesome and pork. It was fresh, full of flavor and and a real treat. The wife had Honey Roasted Chicken Ramen. I tried the roasted chicken and it was excellent. The wife agrees that it was fresh and delicious.

Dessert was a Mango Tower. WOW! Really great, flavorful and a perfect complement to the meal.

Drinks, wife had a lychee martini and I had the Sapporo draft. Bot were on Happy Hour specials.

Go to this place if you love Tai food. The flavors of the food were great, the service was wonderful and the interior of the restaurant makes you feel welcomed and comfortable.

The family is from Tailand and is bringing non american tai food to the table. This place is a treat.
Run to this place people and skip the bars and club food downtown.

“Healthy, delicious Asian bistro lunch with personality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

Attentive servers/owners, the artist-loft ambiance and fresh ingredients make this Clematis Street lunch option a must do. I ate the teriyaki chicken bowl, which came with cooked to perfection broccoli and carrot strips, chicken breast and a choice of white or brown rice. Husband had the beef pho. Similar flavor to authentic Vietnamese pho restaurants without the basil and sauces on the side. Lots of beef and noodles with a great tasting broth.

Each lunch special came with a salad. Excellent value and service for $8 a person. A healthy choice in an easily accessible location. Polished concrete floors, open rafter ceilings and coffee house music gave the place an interesting and fresh vibe.

Would recommend this place in a heartbeat! We'll be back.

“You need to go here! Ahead of the curve!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

Once in a blue moon a restaurant really overwhelmingly impresses me. Well, look out your window because Palm Sugar is that restaurant. Don't be deterred by that menu, because EVERYTHING is good. The service and people alone give this place 5 stars. The food is amazing, fresh and perfect. I had the fish tacos and was so happy that I went to proverbial happy place. Then I had the beef bun and was transported to an episode of Anthony Bourdain's : No Reservations. Finally, my wife had the Muu Yaang, and we just could not stop talking about how excellent the food was. If you are an adventurous and ahead of the curve diner this is the place for you! Don't NOT go to this gem! If we as a community do not support such an amazing menu and people we will be stuck will the "par" restaurants that surround downtown West Palm Beach. Challenge yourself and dine at Palm Sugar. You will not regret a moment and take pride in your excellent courage of choice!
