Thankfully, we didn't have any bug problems at this hotel, like other reviewers, but the property is old and the bathroom does need some remodeling, along with the hallway carpeting. The front-desk people were not the greatest, but they were not rude.

The location is good for West Palm Beach, and there are quite a few restaurants around the area.

You are a few miles from the beach, so not too long of a drive.

Would we stay here again? ... probably.

Checked in about 5pm & room was dirty & bathroom was filthy but dirt I can deal with - bedbugs no way / about midnight went to bed & felt something. Bedbug on the bed by my arm & jumped up 3 more surried away - called front desk & said they'd switch rooms
I left instead could never get a nights rest in that place- bedbugs travel & I hope I don't bring any with me - the afternoon staff was totally unfriendly but late evening rep Cindy seemed concerned but no way I would stay in any room there
Now it is almost 2am & no place to go!

This is a very affordable hotel, and you get what you pay for. The staff is very nice, the rooms are older but clean and very large. Our room had a refrigerator which was great.

They have free breakfast that includes bagels, waffles, fruit, orange juice, cereal and coffee. If you want something clean and cheap when coming into WPB this is it.

I just spent 3 nights at the Comfort Inn in West Palm Beach. This is an affordable hotel, with some nice touches. My need was met, but I do have a few things to mention that travelers should be aware of. Most are minor, but if you are prepared might make your stay a bit better.

First, I'll start with the good...

The pool was clean. The pool area was average. Perfect when we wanted to take a quick dip and sit in the sun for an hour or so, but I think it would be pretty boring if you were planning on spending the whole day here. We went to the pool on a Thursday morning, and we were the only ones there.

The free breakfast was average at most. No complaints, just a very simple, plain breakfast. They had waffles that you make yourself, and my sister told me they were fine, but not as good as she'd hoped. I had cereal and a mini muffin each day. The fruit was not quite ripe enough, but at least seemed fairly fresh. The coffee was actually a little bit better than I'd expected, so that was nice.

I noticed a coin operated laundry room. I didn't use it, but I think it's worth mentioning that it's there.

There was a microwave and a mini fridge in the room, which was great for keeping water/soda cold and for leftovers.

Now the not so good...

There were bugs in the bathroom. Gross. Not so gross that we couldn't use it, but gross enough that I felt I had to share this information. The bathroom in general was pretty old and the shower curtain was slightly dirty. The only ammeneties in the bathroom were shampoo, conditioner and soap.

The A/C was incredibly loud. This doesn't bother me, but if you are a light sleeper, I could see that it might keep you up. It was too cold the first night, but when we tried to turn it down the second night it blew hot air. No in between. We decided to just keep it cold for the rest of our stay.

The vending machines only take coins. I tell you this because it was annoying on our first night, when we arrived at midnight due to a late flight, and had to go all the way back to the front desk to exchange dollars for quarters. The next day I got a roll of quarters for the rest of our stay. The only vending machine with food is on the 1st floor. The other floors only had soda and water.

The restaurant that they advertise on their sign outside is actually closed.

Overall it was fine, as I did not need to spend a lot of time at the hotel. I'd stay here for convenience, but not if I was planning a nice vacation.
