New air conditioning system, installed in June, '07 just in time for the hot summer months, shuts down, resets, and generally fails to keep the room cool. If it was not for their very accommodating staff who moved me from room to room to room in a vain search for A/C during my week-long stay, this motel would be a complete zero.
The lobby reeks strangely, like mold growing in the cooling ducts. Speaking of lobby, it is the ONLY place where there is any A/C. In a phenomenally stupid cost-cutting move, there is no A/C in any of the upper floor halls or in the elevator, the latter averaging 90 degrees the entire week. In Florida, during August, you NEED A/C everywhere.
No complimentary anything in the morning, just an overpriced breakfast buffet. As to sales, the lobby store sells microwave popcorn in a little store area but there NO microwaves in the rooms and none in the store. I finally located the only one: in the lounge area, tucked nest to the TV
