beautiful hotel and unique setting in vero beach. we felt like we were the only ones staying at the hotel all weekend which was nice. the pool was relaxing and all the tropical foliage adds to the experience. the rooms were clean and nicely designed.

we did visit the hotel's bar, but did not visit the restaurant which we hear is outstanding. shops and other places to eat are very close by off a1a a few miles to the north. the beach you have access to is also very well kept and the sand is nice for florida. overall we truly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back someday.

the only suggestions i would have for them is, wine glasses in the rooms if you are selling bottles of wine in them and some sort of do not disturb sign so that the cleaning ladies won't knock if you don't want them to. ;)

“Relaxing, tropical getaway”

The Caribbean Court

Jun 19, 2008

My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely mother/daughter
getaway at the Caribbean Court. The owner, Boris,
thought of everything in creating this tropical hideaway.

The Caribbean decor of the rooms was great - no cookie cutter hotel style rooms. Most rooms had a small, adjoining balcony
with a view of the pool, yet privacy of each balcony was
maintained with surrounding tropical greenery. Each unit
looked like a little villa from the courtyard. Rooms were
very clean and fresh - no hotel room odor.

The receptionist (Mary) was very accommodating, giving us
a tour of several different rooms as each is a bit different.

The beautiful French restaurant is closed on Mondays, which
is when we stayed so we did not get to dine there. However,
Tuesday morning when we were in the pool, we could smell
the most wonderful aroma of the food they were preparing, making us wish we had more time to stay and have dinner there.

Before checking out, Mary showed us around the restaurant, where we were greeted by the chef. We also visited the upstairs lounge. Both belonged in an interior decorating magazine.

I would definitely recommend this inn to anyone looking for a
quiet, quaint spot to get away from it all.

“Beautiful Property, but where's the staff?”

The Caribbean Court is an absolutely beautiful property. It is clear that the owner put an amazing amount of detail into appointing the hotel, and the results are breathtaking. The linens in the room are wonderul and the entire environement is peaceful and relaxing. The nearby beach is large and gorgeous, this is the perfect place for a romantic or relaxing weekend away.

Unfortunately, we found the staff lacking during our stay. It was very difficult to find anyone to assist us, and calls to the desk were dead ends. We were told breakfast would be poolside from 8-9:30, but it was never prepared. When we called about it, the response was underwhelming- and we had to go off property for breakfast.

Wonderful time at boutique inn. It has the warmth of a B & B, with all the elegance of a multi star hotel. Beautifully detailed rooms with wonderful linens and toiletries. The staff is unfailingly attentive and the concierage, Harriet, is knowledgeable and immediately responsive to all requests! Also, be sure to book a dinner at its Maison Martinique - superb cuisine and service in an enchanting space. Cannot wait to return to The Carribean Court. P & D, Ridgefield, CT

“Fantastic Boutique Hotel”

After reading a few good reviews here and in Frommers, we checked out their website and pictures. We ended up staying one night during our baseball vacation, and would eagerly come back anytime. This is what a boutique hotel should be.

Reservations Process: There's no online booking tool, which was kind of disappointing, but when we called during a weekday, we got the owner (Boris) on the line and he took our number, and called me back within an hour, as promised with room availability and information. We booked and promptly got a confirmation e-mail. The verbal directions to the hotel were also helpful.

Rooms: We got the room pictured in the website. Room 123. It was even better than the pictures. They've taken an old motel and remodeled all the studio rooms into something really beautiful. The furniture was wood pieces in 19th century style; The bedding was really plush with great down pillows; the linens on the daybed were especially good. Nice waffle weave robes in the closet.

The bathroom featured a nice mediterranean tile vanity with bowl sink. Shower and tub were new, fitting for a 2006 renovation. And there was a little kitchenette by the door with microwave, refrigerator/minibar, sink and dishes. The doors all open out to the outside, motel style, with modern electronic locks (look like memory cards). The room numbers are all mediterranean tiles Rooms also have a safe.

Each room supposedly has its own theme and decor. The art on the wall is all for sale. Ours is what I'd describe as Architectural Digest. Nothing modern, nothing frou-frou.

Location: The property is located on Ocean Dr on the non-beach side. The road is pretty quiet there, so you can just walk across it (barely 2 lanes) to the beach access pathway. The beach there was pristine and not very crowded. Nice sand and water with a few waves. The rest of downtown is about a mile up the road.

There's a small swimming pool in their courtyard with heaters and lounge chairs. The commons area are all covered in tile or pavers, giving it a very sophisticated look. (even the parking lot)

Service: We only stayed one night so couldn't comment much other than to say check in and check out were convenient with the staff members in the lobby area.

Restaurant: They are very proud of their restaurant and bar onsite, the Maison Martinique and Havana Nights. It was closed on the Sunday night we were there, but the menu looked real enticing.

Other items: I overheard on the phone that they are pet-friendly. The parking lot is small. Not a big problem, but be considerate if you're driving a big SUV. Their TVs have DVD and VCR built in, as well as a very comprehensive cable TV selection.

There's only about 16 rooms on the property

This place used to be the old Riviera Inn and it's totally night and day from that. We looked at a photo album they keep of before and after and it's amazing what some good landscaping, fresh paint, quality furnishings and a total rehab can do to a property. I wouldn't hesitate again paying $300 a night for a room here.
