Absolutely SUPERB staff makes this hotel well worth the stay! If you’re looking for a place where the staff doesn’t know the meaning of the word “NO” and jumps through hoops to make your stay enjoyable—not because it’s their job, but because they’re genuinely wonderful folks—then look no further! AND FREE LONG DISTANCE and local calls as well as high speed internet!!! (I recently stayed at a competitor’s flagship hotel that charged me over $10 a day for the same “luxury” and their rooms were no nicer, smaller and another $100 a night more!)
Ester, Rachel, Bev, Rich and the rest are ALL wonderful! Rich, who provides security, always ensured I had an escort when I arrived home late from work. And he has a keen sense of all goings-on in the area, which really gave me peace of mind no matter the time.
Ester and Rachel went out of their way to round up some evening refreshments despite my having come in after hours late from work. They were always so considerate! And both of them also went out of their way to give me a big glass of cold milk to go with those wonderful fresh baked cookies in the evenings I did make it in on time!. I’ve stayed at several other rival hotels that wouldn’t do the same, although they would give hot coffee!? (Now I ask you, who in the world drinks coffee late in the evening right before bed?)
The housekeeping staff was terrific—absolutely no complaints. And not only was the breakfast buffet just out of this world (thanks to the wonderful buffet attendants), but the evening’s snacks were varied and scrumptious as well. The hotel is right next door to a massive outlet mall and several places to eat. Plus, the staff has listed even more eating choices on a sign strategically placed in the elevator and the choices were spot-on.
If I had to choose something I was disappointed about, it would be the lack of an exercise facility or business center. But that was luck of the draw. It was nothing the staff had any control over. I was still 110 percent pleased.
The rooms are very large and smell wonderful, not all musty or sprayed with some kind of cover-up spray that you encounter in so many hotels these days. The linens, pillows and beds are to die for. The bathrooms are absolutely the cleanest (kudos to housekeeping) I’ve ever been in: they’re quite large and well lit.
I had my choice of hotels to stay at and could have moved to the beach if I wanted the second week. But, the staff (and hotel) was so wonderful, there was no way I was going to move to somewhat were I was just another face! I could write two pages about how many nice encounters I had while staying at this hotel. You can’t go wrong at the Vero Beach Hampton Inn, folks. Now if only the HiltonHonors people could be half as efficient as the hotel staff—I’d really be the proverbial happy camper! :)
