“Very nice manager.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

The check in was fast and front desk personal was very nice and helpful. We had an toilet issue in our room, we had to take care of the problem with the plunger the front desk gave us. There was no maintenance on duty during the evening, she was very apologetic for the situation. She did change our room. In the morning we also had some sewage issues in the new room, I had seeked help at the front desk and the manager was very helpful and had refunded our room. With that said I would probably stay again when I pass through next year, with good management it makes a huge difference.

I'm a Hilton HHonors member and stay frequently at Hampton Inns, and typically they offer nice amenities and a pleasant stay for a good value. This location doesn't really hit the mark.

While the lobby of this Hampton was very nice, the hallways and rooms felt dark and outdated. Wi-fi was nonexistent in my room. The TV was digital, but channel content was all analog and not clear. Breakfast offered an alarming number of options wrapped in plastic, and what little fresh food there was went unreplenished and sat cold. Milk, coffee, and hot water were often empty.

The one time I found a front desk staff present at the desk, she was very nice. Often, though, the staff stayed behind closed doors in a back room, and breakfast room staff were similarly unavailable. It would have been difficult, therefore, to get any concerns readily addressed.

If you're just looking for a clean bed and shower for a night, this Hampton would fit the bill. If you are looking for something more in line with the Hampton brand, you might want to try another location.

Stopped for 1 night on our way to Ft. Lauderdale. This is a nice hotel and great location on I95 Almost in the parking lot of the Vero Beach Outlets. You could walk over to shop and walk over to the Cracker Barrel.
We found the hotel to be clean and recently updated lobby and breakfast area. Our room was a standard queen with 2 beds. Mattress was average, bathroom spacious. Breakfast was continental with cereal, toast, egg/ cheese omelet, yogurt. Same breakfast at most Hampton Inn's I have stayed in. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definately stay at this one again.
If you want more food choices you will have to drive a few miles towards the coast.

Recently, while on a speaking engagement in Vero Beach, my wife and I had the unfortunate experience of selecting the Hampton Inn proximate to the Vero Beach Outlet Mall as our temporary "home away from home." We chose this hotel both for its relative ease of access to downtown Vero Beach, and for its membership in the Hilton family, a chain with which we have had outstanding experiences both in the US and in Europe.

I use the word "unfortunate" regarding our choice of this Hampton Inn, however, because it best describes our stay.

To begin, the room that we had requested (top floor, away from elevators and vending/ice machines) was supposed to be ready for occupancy no later than 3:00PM, the facility's posted occupancy schedule. At 3:30, the room was still not accessible ... and that condition remained until nearly 4 o'clock.

Once inside the room, we found the facilities to be quite acceptable and the recent redecoration comforting and eye-pleasing. Unfortunately, the bathroom towels were damp and the toilet seat lacked what has become a customary sanitized strip that indicates the seat has been sterilized.

The worst part of our experience, however, occurred the following morning at breakfast. Hampton Inn breakfasts nominally are both expansive and tasty. The Vero Beach Hampton was, sadly, an exception to this rule.

On the morning that we ate there, there was an extremely small choice of cold cereals (two to be exact), juices (again, two types, both corn syrup and fructose-laden), and jellies (two again), the "bagels" instead of being locally sourced were institutionalized pieces of commercial dough individually sealed in separate pouches, the "sweet rolls" were similar in quality and packaging (the cheap kind of heavily icing-covered, coin-operated dispenser variety), and there was NO FRESH FRUIT ... not because we came down to breakfast late and the fruit had already been consumed, but because there simply wasn't any ... including both the freshly cut mixed variety and the standard fare bananas.

As a consequence, my wife and I drove to the nearest PUBLIX to purchase cereal, bagels, fruit and drinks and brought them back to the Hampton to eat.

Bottom line: if you are expecting a typical Hampton Inn experience, forget the Vero Beach location. In no manner does it measure up to the chain's usually impeccable standards.

The hotel is located next door to the Vero Beach Outlet Mall and right next to I95. Very convenient for interstate travelers.
Check in was fast and friendly. The room is typical Hampton Inn: 2 chests of drawers, a work desk and chair and a stuffed armchair and ottoman. No refrigerator or microwave though. When I pulled back the duvet I noticed that the top sheet was unusually wrinkled. Very Unusual. After a while the housekeeper arrived with a fresh set and we could see by the difference that at best the original sheet was TOO wrinkled!! :)
The bed was not very comfortable as both of us woke up with our backs hurting. :(

The “fitness center” is a small room with two treadmills and a stair stepper and nothing else. No luck there. The swimming pool is very small and not heated. Worse luck there. The breakfast area is very nicely decorated and the offerings are very good. Even though the egg omelet is of the industrial type. Several coffees are offered. Very Nice. The biscuits were almost as good as my wife's.

Bottom line:
The hotel is almost 10 miles from the beach area. There are some fast food restaurants nearby but most of the better offerings are on US 1 further east. No worries re. breakfast but make sure you check the sheets first.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are working on our wrinkled fitted bed sheet issues. From both a look appeal and a comfort appeal, we need to get this corrected. I assure you we are working on this and will have this resolved. We also wanted to thank you for the great comments you shared about our property. Hope to see you again soon in Vero Beach!

I stayed here about 8 years ago and it was great. I recently stayed here and it is NOT the same. I am not sure the sheets were cleaned after the last guest. YUCK! They had a very strong beach smell but did not feel like fresh cleaned sheets. The beds were suppose to be queen size, they were double. There was suppose to be a fridge and microwave in the room, there wasn't either. I would have complained but it was just an overnight stay on our way to St. Augustine. I will NOT be staying here ever again. I was just checking my bank account and there is a pending charge of 125.00 instead of 108.89 when I booked it. Now I'll have to dispute this. Do yourself a favor... go elsewhere!

Room Tip: Choose the Holiday Inn next door or the Country Inn next door.
