I'm familiar with Rita's because I worded from time to time in Philadelphia. It's a great hot weather treat. I was happy to see this Rita's when it opened in Vero Beach. The only problem is their help. I've been many times and I think the people that wait on you have a snotty attitude. What about a smile, what about a thank you? I wouldn't want that job either but I'd make the best of it.
My 14 year old and I found Rita's by accident when on the way to the Vero Beach Book Center (around the corner). Rita's is fabulous, great ice and the kids that work there were polite and nice. They also explained to us newbies the various versions with custard and without. Took my eldery parent back there. "Mango" was to die for, "pita collada" was good, as was the coffee mocha something or other. Find the time to go!!!
My kids and I find Rita's Italian Ices to be a fun, tasty treat. There is always a line of people as it's pretty popular (the line goes quickly) and their items are nice and cooling on a hot, summer night. Our kids always beg to go there when we are in town. The only problem is it's all outside benches and the mosquitoes eat me alive. Other than that..I recommend it.
