The food is good... pretty close to really good. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a beach view. Prices are high... not that it is not worth it... just reserved for special occasions. For lack of value, I give 1 star less than 5.

But be prepared to pay. This is where we go when we want to wine and dine out of towners "when we can afford it" Most times food is on par with what you pay. Added bonus when you get a window seat!
Nothing exciting at lunch. Steamed shrimps were a bit rubbery and the tortellini/shrimp was completely unremarkable. Florida seafood restaurants should be about FL seafood. I don't want to visit from Maryland to have "Blue Crabs". And since when are mashed potatoes a seafood accompaniment? The dining public have lost their discernment. Bring back a robust FRESH seafood menu! Wait staff were efficient and that's the best that can be said about the service.

went to this reaturant several times during our trip...the food is excellent, the service great and the location and history it has is impressive...this is a casual setting with an upscale flare...old dark wood and rustic iron thru out with a collection of antique pictures and item on the walls...cannot reccommend any one thing since we enjoyed all we had, most items are made on the premises including salad drssings..will return
Lunch and dinner available. Great ambiance inside, rustic and unusually decorated. Just what you'd expect for an older, beachside lodge. View of the ocean, of course. Lunch entrees from around $12-15, dinner around $20-30. We went for lunch. Blue crab soup was just okay. Bacon spinach salad with warm dressing was absolutely delicious. Also very yummy was the fried snapper and breaded crab claws. Delicious cornbread served with the meal. Many locals dining here, dressed well (at the least, dressy casual). Would definitely eat here again.
