We had dinner on Sunday night, and felt lucky to get a table as other, nearby restaurants like Lemon Tree and Ocean Grill are closed. We arrived about 6:30 and were welcomed right away with even a choice of tables. Our waiter, David, came right over and began taking our drink order. He was outstanding from the start, speaking clearly, with the utmost manners, all the while making us feel comfortable and entertained. We had shrimp cocktail to start and agreed the cocktail sauce was zingy and delightful, accompanied by four, sweet jumbo shrimp . My brother had the house cabernet which he reported was outstanding, while my sister-in-law and I had club soda with lemon and lime that was crisp, cold and delicious. For our entrees, we had Filet mignon, watermelon salad and cuban black beans and rice with plantains that were to die for. Desert was fun with flourless chocolate cake, and mango sorbet and key lime pie. The atmosphere was warm and lively. The Wave is a must dining experience when you're in Vero Beach.
