Great room, great management and a perfect stay all week. I woke up to morning coffee with the other guests and sat out in the evenings enjoying their company once again. A very safe and comfortable place.

We found information about this special Inn online and on trusty TripAdvisor. After a special few days with astronauts at Cape Kennedy we spent six days there in room 27, upstairs overlooking the pool -- with a squint of the ocean and a great family park . The room was really bright and had ben updated with a new bathroom; just the room we liked and felt comfortable in. Doug and Mary Jane were very friendly and helpful; the first night we got the lowdown about all the restaurants in the area which served us well. Location was really great and we had breakfast at two places down the street and then played tennis at great city courts in a large nearby park. The Inn, built a long time ago, has real character but at the same time is very comfortable with that special feeling of a small place. Try it you will like it!

We found this Inn while just randomly looking for a place to spend the night. Inn is older and 1st row, but units are very neat & owners Doug & Mary Jane go the extra mile.... to make your stay enjoyable. Neat place very near public park & beach access. Recommend to anyone...

We had planed to stay just one night, but we change it to one more night because we loved it. This is a wonderful place in a nice town.

This Hotel is the Jewel in the Ruff. We stayed for 3 nights in July. The location was perfect, just across from the Driftwood Inn the City Park and the Beach. We had our 3 and 5 year old with us and they loved the park the beach and the Islander's Pool. Mary Jane at the Front desk, and her husband run the Hotel. Mary Jane kept asking if there was anything we needed. She offer utensils two nights as we cooked out on the Propane Grill they provide in the Courtyard, we went to the grocery and picked up steak and vegetables and grilled some great Kabobs. We stayed in a courtyard view room #16. The room had an over-sized Mini Frig and a Microwave. The Bathroom had new Tile Tub Vanity! The Carpet in the Room was fairly new and the Island/Tropical Decor was a very welcoming. Although there is not a Continental breakfast each morning, there is Fresh Coffee brewed daily 7am-9am. The Air Conditioning kept the Room very cold and the Ice machine was always full of Ice when you needed it. The people whom run this little Hotel are what made us feel so at home and I guess you kinda lose that when you stay in the Larger Hotels! We'll be back at the Islander that's for sure.

PS: Although the Owner also owns a larger hotel down the street, He and his wife was staying at the Islander Hotel while we were there, very nice people!

We stayed in Room 25, one of 3 upstairs rooms. The bathroom had been remodeled recently. My 5'11" husband felt that the toilet was too close to the shower, my 5'6.5" self was not cramped. The bathroom was large enough for both of us to prep using counter and mirror space.

The bed was close-to-new. The mattress was very firm.

The room was clean and neat, both the paint and linens were tropical colors. The "closet" is tucked away under the roof line, but functional. A small fridge and microwave are in the closet.

Our group had 12 of the 14 rooms. We had a great time at the pool and congregating on the pool deck.

The adjoining upstairs room (26?) has a long hallway with a separate door before actually entering the bedroom/bathroom area. We kept the adjoining door unlocked so we had a 2 bed/2 bath suite with my niece & her husband.

The hotel is an easy walk to restaurants, the beach, a park with playground equipment, and shopping.

  • Liked — Cleanliness
  • Disliked — Parking-I think there are 10-11 space for the 14 rooms

We just stayed here this past weekend. Very nice husband and wife management team. Very clean rooms and an excellent location. I would recommend this as an alternative to some of the bigger hotels in the area. It is an excellent value as well. They now have Wi-Fi which worked really well along with brand new queen beds which they said were installed the week before we arrived. I highly recommend this property.
