My husband and I stayed for three nights here, one night in a Garden View Inn room and two in an Ocean View Inn room. We have stayed at the resort once before and we are Disney Vacation Club members, so choosing this resort was somewhat of a no-brainer for us.
The best thing about this resort is the service. The cast members go above & beyond in every way. Because we had two different reservations back-to-back but different room types, I figured we would need to switch rooms. The front desk staff worked with us to see if we could move one reservation to another type and just stay in the same room. They even showed us the room. We chose to not take the room offered because we didn't want to be directly over the pool, but the effort was definitely welcome. (I know it helps them, as they would have to full-clean one less room, but it would have benefited me too.) Disney is known for their great service, but this resort beats the others hands-down it seems.
The main downside we see at this resort is the remote-ness of it. If all you want to do is the pool and/or beach and you don't mind limited dining options, you are good. Otherwise, you need to plan to travel at least 15-20 minutes for something to do or place to eat.
If you are not familiar with this area of the east coast of Florida, make sure this is the kind of area you want to vacation. If you know you want to come to this area, I definitely recommend staying here.
