“Wonderful First Family Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Best room in the inn I would say! Beautiful ocean view on 4th floor, waking up to sounds of the ocean. My family and I truly enjoyed it. Everyone was very friendly and all our needs were met. Unfortunately due to an unexpected tropical storm, we spent half our trip indoors but the staff made sure there were things to do, especially for the kids. The rest of our stay we enjoyed the great Mickey pool and water slide. We spent lots of time on the beach, which is so close by! We loved making s'mores by the campfire and sing along with the silly songs. My 7 yr old even made some new friends! Convenient underground parking and fun character meals. My 2yr old mainly liked the elevator buttons!! ;) Would love to go back with friends and stay in the Cottage's!

Room Tip: Ocean view for sure! Poolside does look like fun too....

This resort is better for your family with teenagers and above and "like the beach"! Its not the normal hype of Disney. Located on the beaches of the more exclusive areas of Vero Beach it has a light aire and one of relaxation. There are activities for the kids and a large pool, golf course and there is a character breakfast on Saturday and you may even get to participate in a character dinner.

The price is all Disney but here I have found that the staff attempt to make it a magical moment for you which at times is hard to find at the main property.

If your looking for a relaxing Disney vacation and one on the beach without having to take the cruise then you have found the place!

Side note - in the way of quick cheaper food outside of Disney property there are some local establishments across the street but the nearest Burger King is across the bridge approximately four miles from the Vero Beach property. Low traffic so its a quick trip. Like this place as I get to see my twin brother "Goofy" when I go there. He is almost there and the Christmas pictures you can get with my brother are awesome!!!

Room Tip: Get beach front...more money but the sun rises into your window. People actually stand on the beach...

We spent the weekend in two adjoining Inn rooms booked with DVC points. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We had a partial ocean view from the 4th floor, north side, even though we booked garden view rooms. Parking in the basement garage is convenient and keeps the car cool. They have luggage carts in the garage for the DIY crowd or they will send someone to help if you want. This is not your typical fast paced Disney Resort. Everything is more relaxed here. Everyone seemed to sleep in on Saturday. Pool activity did not start till mid morning and everything seemed to close down fairly early in the evening (too early in my opinion). Beach is very nice. Jet skis are incredibly over priced, I think they were $75 for a half hour. Went to the campfire and had smores. The sing along was entertaining and funny. We look forward to coming back.

We had 4 Studio Inn rooms on the 4th floor with Ocean View. SPECTACULAR is one word to describe our view. We were staying with 3 other couples on our Disney Vacation Club and we all had a wonderful and relaxing time. We were treated very well. We do wish they had complimentary coffee/tea in the mornings for guests without the refillable mug and the air conditioning should not be motion activated. In the middle of the night the rooms were getting as high as 77 degrees. We had a wonderful time and recommend Disney's Vero Beach to everyone.

Room Tip: 4th floor - Ocean View - Beautiful

Resort is on a beautiful stretch of beach. It is a lovely property. We have stayed here before but this time found that the resort is looking a little worn. We stayed in deluxe studio which is a nice size. However, the room is in definite need to updating. The bed was very uncomfortable and some stains on the carpet. There were also small little ants in the kitchen area. Staff is very accommodating and welcoming and work hard to make sure guests are having a good time. Having said that, the facilities could use an update.

Room Tip: Unless you want to hear the blasting music at the pool stay in the #13 or #15 building.

Our weekend visit was to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a lovely first floor studio room in bldg 14, remarkably private all things considered. A personally addressed and signed birthday card from Goofy was a really sweet touch! Rooms are comfortable, spacious and well maintained. Our studio had a queen bed with a sofa bed, kitchenette area that included a large dorm-sized fridge, microwave and sink. Our little patio was well shaded with palm trees and landscaping, and relatively private. We could hear the ocean but not see it.
This is one of the older DVC resorts but very well maintained. It is a quiet, beautifully landscaped property – all the Disney touches with the beach just outside your door. Since the resort is less than two hours from Orlando, it would be a perfect way to rest and relax after a theme park trip. If you're a local Florida resident, it’s a perfect weekend getaway. The beach is a short walk, and no you can’t see it from many of the rooms, so if an ocean view is a priority, make sure you request a higher floor “Inn” room. The attraction of this resort is its seclusion and peaceful atmosphere. The beach itself is rather narrow and the surf can be rough. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to rent at a reasonable price (discounts if you are a DVC member) The resort pool is beautiful and typical Disney quality. There are also lots of activities and events going on throughout the day.

Room Tip: Building 14 is closest to pool and main Inn. Higher floors are more likely to have ocean views.

My wife and I stayed with our two kids (ages 12 & 8) at the Disney Vero Beach resort for 3 nights following a busy week at Walt Disney World. We wanted to "get away" and find a relaxing beach location before returning home. This resort was excellent! The staff was very friendly and the grounds were very nice. The room was large and clean, and it included a kitchenette. We are not members of Disney Vacation Club but were treated as if we were. This location is a Disney resort but is not "over the top" Disney so it was a nice change of pace from the resorts/theme parks in Orlando. We really enjoyed the beach area and pool, and our kids enjoyed the water slide and pool area entertainment on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Our room had a small balcony with table and chairs overlooking the pool and ocean (GREAT view). We bought groceries and saved money on meals by eating breakfast and lunch in our room each day. We did not eat at the resort restaurants, and the only down side is there are very few off-site restaurants close by. We found a few national chain restaurants within 15 minutes, as well as a shopping mall / movie theater for some evening entertainment after a long day at the pool and beach.

Room Tip: I reserved with a 20% off discount coupon which I found in the Disney Birnbaum travel guide book, wh...
