“Amazingly good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We are at Vero Beach for vacation and wanted to eat at places that are privately owned. Read other reviews on this so gave it a try and we were not disappointed. Lots of choice, great service, friendly atmosphere, very good food! You must try. You can tell they have their regulars who come in and love it. Easy to find!

“Don't let the name fool you- wear shoes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Found the Barefoot Cafe while browsing Tripadvisor. Had lots of positive reviews and decided to try it out.

Went at prime time- 12 noon. The place was packed. Half of the diners must have been regulars. Greeted by name & "having your regular?". One fellow just sat down at the counter and three minutes later was handed his food. I guess they knew what he wanted.

The rest of us were treated as if we had been there many times, very friendly staff.

There were four of us. All of us like different things. The menu had plenty to offer. We all enjoyed our lunches.

You can see the kitchen from the dining room. It was impressive watching the chef make the plates. He looked like a marathon runner- never stopped.

Went back a on our next trip to vero a month later. Just as good and knew the ropes- drinks are mostly selfservice.

Did notice a sign that said shoes required - no bare feet- so don't forget to wear them or no
lunch!

“The best restraunt in Vero!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

For anyone that says that The Barefoot cafe is nothing special, your WRONG! The Barefoot Cafe has to be the best place in town to eat. It saddens me the days they arent open and in the evening. There food is EXCELLENT! If you do not like the food something is seriously wrong with you. Reading the few reviews that complain about The barefoot sickens me, sounds to me like they think they are to good for a mom and pop shop. Mom and pop shops are usually the best food you can find. The staff is great and Lisa and Steve are wonderful people!!! I cant even explain how great the food is! I encourage EVERYONE to stop into The Barefoot Cafe!!!

“Yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

The sandwiches at this place are finger licking good. I tried the spicy sandwich, which had a kick but was not too much to handle, and it was very good. The portions are shareable or if you are like me, you order your own and take half home for a snack later! In addition the service was great. Tip: get there early to take advantage of the daily soups and offers, they run out (a testament that they really are yummy!)!!!

“wonderful surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

we met friends at this little cafe. not knowing what to expect we were a little hesitant but don't be.. this was a gem of a cafe. the food was fresh and well presented, very welcoming the owners were super friendly and offered their suggestions on what we might like. the other patrons were singing their praises. the cafe is small, you have to order your selections at the counter and they will bring it to your table. i wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Barefoot Cafe to all.
