This restaurant is very elegant and beautifully decorated. The food was great but it took over three hours to have our meal. While I do enjoy having a night out I wasn't prepared to have such a lengthy dinner. Because it's lent many of us ordered salad and soup. Two in our party ordered fish and enjoyed it very much. However, at the conclusion of our meal we requested that our meal be split. Honestly, we didn't think about asking up front but didn't realize it would be such a debacle to split the bill...especially in our age of technology. The server sorda balked at the idea but took our bill back for someone to separate. This process took a half an hour. Mind you, we were one of four tables in the restaurant. After returning, I had soup along with my salad and he insisted I ordered and ate it, which I had not. Once the bills were finally sorted out he split the 20% tip charge (automatic 20% tip for parties of five or more, we were party of five) across the board. SO, for my $12 dollar salad I was charged $7 for my tip. A bit ridiculous. This salad, offered as an entree special, was not very big so I was a bit dismayed that I was charged that much for a tip. I will most likely not return to this place. I will stick with the Ocean Grill where the food, atmosphere, and service are impeccable.
