After reading the reviews we were not expecting much but only wanted a place to rest for a few hours because our goal was to enjoy the water and hunt for Sharks Teeth. The rooms were clean and cheerful looking. The refrigerator and microwave were a nice feature. Clean towels and bedding. Comfortable overall.

The motel is aged and needs some improvement. The area lighting is good at hight and there are security cameras. We did have concerns when the police were call late one night for some people hanging out on the roof area. The biggest concern that we had was the safety issue regarding our boat in the parking lot. We had to problems. There are resturants nearby...Subway on the lot and Checkers across the street. Also Perkins 1/2 mile away. Gas station that is lit up at night across the street. Reasonable gas prices also. The maid did not leave us coffee for the next day but easily taken care of with a trip to the office. Ice machine worked well but located a long way from the room...by the pool.

I hope that this helps someone!

This place is absolutely disgusting! The carpet is torn and appears to not have been vacuumed (EVER), the entry doors are broken, the rooms smell musty...and don't get me started on how filthy the bathrooms are...I had to ask house keping to please clean the fecies off the toilet from the previous guest (atleast I hope it was only from the previous guest). We wore our flip flops in the shower if that is any clue how gross this place actually is. A beverage bottle was left out over night (maybe 6 hours), as I was packing to leave, I dumped the remaining beverage and two roaches had already accumulated in the bottle. When we returned home, everything was washed, boiled if I could that was in this room. My favorite part of my stay here was leaving!

This place is run down and completely filthy. The pictures on the web site are not a true indication of what to expect. We were completely disatisfied with the nasty rooms appearance, leaky ac on to the carpet, stained carpet, mold in shower and on tile floors, no water pressure in shower or toilet. Went up to casey key and rented a beach front room for $30 more a night and it was a major difference, clean for one thing. This hotel also has no internet as advertised and when I asked the front desk they were unaware of the website photos and amenities they said they offer. The pool was also dirty and run down. Thank god we brought our own linens to cover up the filthy ones provided. Would never stay here again. If you like dark and dingy then
this is a place for you. Dark parking lot too.

Nice location and friendly staff, even though they were not able to assist with the Air Conditioning being on a Energy Saving cycle, so it was hot most of the night, yet they did know the area and the room was bigger than we expected for the $$. If they corrected the Energy Saving issue this would be an outstanding location.

We stayed in this hotel after seeing a review in tour book listing it as inexpensive option located minutes from beach, which it is. We figured it was not a good sign when we pulled up late afternoon, there were no cars in the parking lot and the place looked a bit run down. The first room we were shown was dirty, run down and, best of all, three fourths of the electric outlets didn't work - we could only get one light near the entrance on. Management said they only had three other available rooms. The next one was pretty nice. It had been recently remodeled with the exception of the bathroom (meaning room with shower and toilet, sink located outside b-room), was spacious with table and chairs, microwave, fridge and large closet. It is a large hotel, but it appeared as if only about eight rooms or so were occupied. Since we were told that only four rooms were left, we figured most were not in a condition to be given out. They appear to be in the process of renovating, but may have run out of money. If you can get a room that has recently been renovated you'll probably be fine. We were a little unconfortable with there being so few people at this hotel during high season.

My family and I came into staying here for the night with low expectations as it was, and still this hotel managed to disappoint us. Our coffee pot didn't work, and when we called the front desk to tell them this, they said we weren't using it right. We never did get it to work and they didn't offer us another one. The pool was in a partly shaded area and was small and not heated. The outdoor area were dirty looking, garbage was around. We stayed the one night, but relocated to the Holiday Inn about 2 miles away the next morning and were much happier. If you're just staying to sleep, this hotel would probably do, but if you are looking to lounge and enjoy your hotel room, this isn't the place.
