Booked two nights at the Inn for a weekend of diving and exploring in Venice! Tried to book through them, but waited about a week and booked it through expeida. The rates were the same, so it did not really matter.
The front desk people are very nice and eager to give you some recommendations on where to eat and what to do.
Our room was a King Size bed in the building next to the pool. The room was a good size for 2 adults. The room was equipped with a kitchenette (everything but the oven & stove). One table and two chairs and two chairs outside the door for enjoying those hot summer nights! The kitchenette included: refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and all utensils. If you need a blow dryer or iron board, you have to ask the front desk. The bed was soft and the AC is a wall unit.
The pool was nice after diving all morning. Chairs, tables and umbrellas are set up along the pool. Pool towels are available at the pool. If you want to cook out they have a grill (maybe grills, I forget).
The Inn is close to the main fun street in Venice. Some people had there bikes with them. Close to Publix (grocery store) for your shopping needs. You need a car to get to the beach.
All and all the Inn was cute and we would stay there again. Next time we will bring our bikes.

What a deal...Although I had read all the great reviews, and saw the sweet photos posted on their website, I still was skeptical of such an inexpensive rate...ususally they are just teasers and when you actually show up to check in, the disappointments set in. Not at all the case here! Despite the location on a very "business - retail" section of US 41, it was tucked away and quiet. I was struck by how clean the grounds were, and how well kept the rooms were. Although it was obvious that it has been around for a while (I think the 1950's), the rooms, with their paneled ceilings and comfortable beds felt fresh and very well tended to.

Because the buildings were so old, there were not a lot of electrical outlets; but they took care of this by adding power strips to all the plugs in the walls. While this may sound funky (and who knows about the safety of it all), it was done neatly, and cleanly...

The bathroom was small, but clean and sufficient for two people.

Oh, and the WIFI in the room was a plus, for sure!

After a day of paddling/boating, this was the perfect place for us to take a swim in the small, but very clean pool, and lay our heads down to sleep.

The only criticism is that despite having a coffee pot in the (efficiency) room, there was no "guest packet" of coffee for us to make in the morning, and although the office was supposed to be open at 9:00 with coffee brewing, they didn't open till 9:30...

On another note, because there did not seem to be much choice for breakfast in the local Venice area (very suprised about this), against my better judgment, we ate at The Clock Restaurant, right across the street. Won't do that ever again. the service was slow, inattentive, my food was barely edible - muffin soggy, eggs mashed as opposed to scrambled, american cheese purported to be cheddar...

In any case, if paddling in the area again, I would return to the Island Breeze in a heartbeat. (Only this time, I will bring coffee and my own food for breakfast!)...

A classic and cosy motel. Unique front desk. Nice yard lighting. The pool was nice, but small (even had a radio by the pool;). We checked in late, but the owner did open the laundry for us after closing time. The rooms are small, but very clean. The only con was the noisy air condition unit.

We had 2 rooms for 1 night and they were very nicely decorated, clean and charming. We were all very pleased with the staff and the service. They had a small pool in the back that was very clean and they even provided extra towels at the pool. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Met relatives (17 of us) for a 3 day social gathering. We all stayed at Island Breeze Inn and had a delightful time. Staff was more than helpful, we wanted for nothing. Location was convenient to beach, shopping, restaurants and groceries (all withing walking distance). We all would go back again "in a heartbeat".

The Island Breeze Inn was a delight. You're always taking a chance when you book an unknown hotel, but what a pleasure to stay in this charming and tidy motel instead of a big chain. Only 20 rooms and each one has its own door, with a sitting area in front. Manager Victor and his friendly staff work hard to keep this little gem immaculate, bright and welcoming. There's even a barbecue grill by the pool if you want to cook out. Very sweet place with lots of home touches. A great location and exceptional management. I want to go back.
