My fiance and I visit Venice several times each year to visit family and we have made going to Althea's a tradition each time we are in town. We have had their breakfast, lunch, and dinner by now. The food is creative, fresh, and comes out quick. Management updates their menu regularly to come up with interesting items to cater to their guests. The service has always been solid. The portions and value are something that really stands out for us. You will never leave hungry after visiting Althea's , that's for sure. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Venice area.

Althea's has an extensive breakfast menu, with some creative dishes that you won't find at most restaurants. Cranberry pancakes, eggs benedict with salmon, and grilled tofu are some of the more unique items. They also serve plain ol' eggs and bacon if that is more your speed. We sat outside both mornings of our weekend getaway and the service was attentive. It looked like it was popular with the after-church crowd, so keep that in mind when dining on a Sunday.

We are locals and have eaten here several times in the last few months, chiefly because they have great early bird specials. And no, we aren't 80 years old. We just value good food at a good price. All the meals that we have had have been good to excellent. The service has never been lacking at all. Of course the snowbirds aren't here yet so there's usually not a whole lot of people there. But even when they have been busy, the wait staff has been very good. If you are going to be staying in the Venice area, we suggest you give Althea's a try. We certainly haven't been disappointed.

Awful greasy food with inattentive wait staff. Don't both with this restaurant unless you're over 80 and can't taste!
