“A small spot with a big taste to offer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

My husband and I have come back several times for both lunch and breakfast. You can not possibly go wrong! The wait staff is fantastic, the specials definitely offer unique items, and the regular menu items are far from "regular". But don't be afraid that things will be so foreign you won't find something you like. The chef takes a simple item- like an egg sandwich- and performs magic with perfectly toasted sourdough bread and arugula and taylor ham. It's just not your typical "ham and egg and cheese sandwich". The burgers are juicy. The soups are perfect. You can NOT go wrong! We have our new favorite eating spot in Venice!

“A Hidden Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

This restaurant is tucked away sharing space with the Island Sun Inn at 625 S Tamiami Trl.
The quality of the food is excellent with many healthy choices. Chose an order of their special potatoes to add something yummy.
Excellent service and friendly staff. Unique, cosy decor. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

“Awesome quality of food and gluten free cake was heavenly!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We drove from St Louis, Mo to Ft Myers then to Venice, great little town with a great beach and no parking fees, and we stopped at Blu' Island Bistro for lunch. The food was fantastic. My husband had the grilled grouper and fresh fruit, both excellent quality. I had a burger with blue cheese and onion rings.
Also, good, the onion rings are so thin they are like onion straws, but a large amount served with a dynamite pepper sauce. We also had the fried tomato appetizer-yum. We were so full, but the waitress mentioned that Sue had just made gluten free chocolate cake and we had some. Oh my stars-really a five star dish, You have to have some! Sue(the owners mother) came and chatted with us and said she makes *Cheesecake to die for*. Wish I lived down here to go again!

We ate outside. The food was fresh, original, and delectable! The service was friendly and timely. This has been one of the best places we have visited in Florida, and we will go back.
