“Nice place nice staff affordable rates in May”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

This place had it all , it was close to the beach, rooms were updated with nice big flat screen TV's,
the small kitchenette had no cutlery or plates , so bring your own. The pillows we way to big so we bought a couple at wal-mart for $2.50 each. left them there for our next visit. We went for the Blue jays games, as well as the affordable golf. Recommend the Tides gold course two fees with a cart for under $50. So many god places to eat close by. John's point boardwalk square very worth an afternoon stroll. No restaurant , but they have a patio above the pool. We asked for a Harbor view from reading these reviews and were easily switched to it. The room was a solid place , you never heard a sound once the doors wee closed. AC unit was a little too close to the bed so it blew right on you, but covered 1/2 with a towel problem solved

Room Tip: ask for a harbor view at check in less street noise.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have usually enjoyed it. Seems like each time I go though they are cutting back more and more. They no longer have happy hour on the deck nor do they have any sort of breakfast anymore. Check in used to be great as they would let you choose your floor and room as long as they had them available. Not anymore. This last trip we arrived at noon and werent able to check into our room till 4pm. Very dissapointing.

Friendly staff. Christine got me an extra blanket at 1130pm. She went out of her way, all the way to the third floor and handed me the blanket. Clean rooms, good coffee, nice space, and located in front of the public beach. I would go there again. I wish i would have know about the waffle house discount :( Word of caution, the sting rays will sting if your in the ocean water. So be careful. It happened to me and I was in pain for a couPle of hours running my foot under boiling hot water.

I grew up in the St. Pete area but have since moved to Indiana. This was my first time staying at the Treasure Bay and I can't say enough about it. Clean, convenient, friendly, comfortable, awesome!

Its a pretty nice place considering that I was booking my stay there last minute and everything else was sold out.
Its location is a bit far from Clearwater, FL which is where all the action happens; you would need a car or a local bus to get to most places.
It has a good pool and is located 2 minutes away from the shore side if you are looking to swim.
Overall, the rooms are clean and feature a good view towards the marina (others may not). There is a mini kitchen in the room that has a sink, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker for your convenience.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return there some day myself if it was located closer to the main town.

Room Tip: The best rooms are the ones with a view of the marine.

Treasure Bay had all the elements in place for a nice relaxing vacation. Rooms either face the bay with marina, or front with pool and ocean view. The ocean is literally across the street with a big white sand beach. Fishing in the back by marina area is good. Nice vacation area with lots to do, good variety of dining nearby.Staff was very helpful. Good value. Wants to be a grown-up resort but seems to be undergoing some renovation, so if you need anything extra or any repairs, just ask and it's handled promptly. Guests were very quiet and respectful of others and the property, which can be a huge factor that the hotel can't always control. Keeping in mind that it's a casual beachy place and not a 5-star hotel, I would highly recommend this to just about anyone.

Room Tip: Decide whether ocean view, or bay-marina view is more important and request in advance.

10 night stay end of April - first week in May was our first visit to this hotel. Obtained a great rate with a complete vacation booking with expedia so was a bit apprehensive because of the low nightly rate (less than $100).

This place met our requirements perfectly, location is great right across the street from the public beach, lots of good restaurants within walking distance and its centrally located along the gulf beaches for anywhere you want to drive.

We are not pool people so I can't comment on that but the free coffee on the second floor was appreciated every morning and found the housekeeping staff to be efficient - always had our room completed by early afternoon when we returned to the hotel.

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mid range hotel.
