Last week we enjoyed 3 nights at this motel that we will visit again. The view of the Gulf from our efficiency unit was great. It was clean and the beds comfortable. This is not one of the units that have been renovated, but it was still very acceptable to us. The curtains showed the most need of being replaced. It was much cheaper than another motel we stayed in up the beach that has recently been renovated, and since it's NOT on the "boardwalk" it meant less people walking by the motel so less noise and risk of "intruders." There are cabanas available on the beach to rent, but the motel has lawn chairs you can borrow to take out on the beach which means a big savings. The gardens in the court yard are well maintained. Our biggest complaint was the difficulty we had reaching the office when we were making the reservation and then needing to change it. I had to call multiple times. So now we have their e-mail address to use for reservations that we may make there in the future. We saw a nice Gulf front renovated 1 bedroom unit that would be even nicer than our efficiency. We weren't able to look at any of the Villas unfortunately since they were all occupied while we were there. They have a lot of regulars who come back and stay a month at a time year after year so they are loyal to them and wouldn't let us reserve a unit for a week later next spring till their regulars came and had a chance to book if they wanted to.
