Overall, a nice property, well-situated on the Gulf Coast. This location is convenient to John's Pass Village, a complex of shops and restaurants, and boasts a well-maintained beachfront. The on-site restaurant, the Sunset Cafe, serves reasonably-priced breakfasts that are a cut above the Danish-and-coffee freebies offered at many chain hotels. Check-in was trouble-free, and the response by maintenance was prompt when trouble arose with the TV reception in the living room.
One bothersome aspect, and this is likely the exception, was the anxiety of the maids to get going on servicing our room once we checked out (11 AM is checkout time). The first knock on our door came at 8:30 AM, the second at 9:45. Both times we assured them that we would be out by the 11. Even as we were carrying our bags to the car at 10:45 AM, we got pestered twice at the elevator within five minutes. Although I understand the necessity of getting the room ready for the next guest(s), I didn't care much for the "Are you out yet?", especially in a "relaxing" resort!
We were only here for a quickie overnight stay while two of us visited a local college, and I would consider this place again on a future trip.
