We just spent two days on the Easter holiday weekend at the Trails End Resort. Basically it is an okay resort and you get what you pay for. I will say the rooms were clean. The location on the beach is what attracted us and the fact that we needed a motel instead of a hotel to accommodate needs that we have with our child who has special needs.
The beds are so old and uncomfortable. I have complaints that the pool could have been cleaner. Easter Sunday was a windy day and there were newspapers at the bottom of the pool. My son actually cleaned all the papers out in order to enjoy swimming in it. Garbage cans around the pool were filled and only get emptied once a day as we stare at overflowing garbage cans by the pool. We woke up Monday morning and took our showers and then were told not to use the bathrooms because there was a sewer problem. Friends of ours staying there didn't get a shower and were very upset and actually were very glad we were leaving to Disneyworld not knowing where the sewer problem would leave us.

My family has been going to Trails End for 30 years +. This is a wonderful beachfront property. LOCATION LOCATION!!!! The hotel is clean, and quiet and most guest are regulars. You cannot beat the price for the location. The rooms need a bit of updating, but besides that....a WONDERFUL place to stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!!!

My wife and I have been customers at Trails End Motel for the past 25 years, my wife since she was a small child. If you have any problems they are solved almost immeadiatly to your satisfaction. The prices are very fair and the best on the beach. I would recommend to anyone staying here for any amount of time.

My friend and I wanted to have a weekend getaway, so we decided to make reservations at Trails End, because we had stayed there 5 years prior. We checked in at approximately 2:00pm, and went up to our room. When we got there the maids were still cleaning it. The room was very warm, but we figured it was because the door was open while they were cleaning. We closed the shades and checked that the air unit was on high. We left and came back three hours later and the room was still warm. We went to the front desk to notify them and she said they would check it. She also told us that this is Florida and it is hot. We are from Florida and know its hot, but it's part of the hotels service to provide its customer with an air conditioner that works properly. We returned at 8pm and they placed a box fan in front of the unit. We called the front desk and told them it wasnt acceptable and she told us that the air was checked and it was fine. Again we told her this was unacceptable, we asked for our money back. She said she would have to call a manager. Moments later she came to our room and said she would give us our money back. I asked her what she thought of the temperature and she said " We have different ideas...Good Luck finding another room. We went downstairs and got our money back and left. Needless to say we drove back to Tampa and our weekend was cut short. I'm not a picky person nor do I like to complain but what made us upset is she didnt want to admit there was a problem.
