“After the beach fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

After being in the sun for hours, we always go to VIP! The food, mexican beer, lime, chips, guac, I mean come on it compliments it perfectly. Just a note here, it is a tiny space (if you need open spaces, this place could bother you). I recommend putting a dollar in the juke box and putting on your favorite latin music. Sit back, order a pacific (or get a pitcher of margaritas, I usually do both) and order some guac and chips (if you like spicy, you HAVE TO ORDER the pesos. These are fresh jalapeno slices that have been fried and served with ranch, sometimes they are killer hot, some times mild.) If you are hungry, get the nachos or the mexican pizza. The fajitas look great, but we usually just order the appetizers. I recommend sitting at the bar, service at the tables can be slower if you are in a hurry. AND if it is busy, they will have a wait list. If that is the case, put your name on it and head on through to the back of the restaurant. You will walk through the kitchen to get to the outside where they have a bar and some tables to wait at. This place is fun and one of our favorite spots.

“Casual fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

GreAt place! Had a fun lunch at the bar and very good American version of mexican dishes. Fun atmosphere and staff. Very different than the name suggests.

“Best Mexican food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

The margaritas can not be beat or the choice of awsome Mexican food. If you hunger try the famous "Wet Barrito", but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

“Tasty and good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

Don't let the exterior keep you from trying. We have been vacationing in the St. Petersburg Beach area and have been paying high $ for OK meals and this was a nice break from that. This is a very casual place with some outdoor seating in the back. The drinks and food were reasonably priced. The wet burito was very tasty. My husband tried the 'Chicago' style burito and enjoyed his. My daughter ordered off the kids menu and enjoyed her meal.
