Arvilla Resort Motel Treasure Island

We stayed at the Arvilla with another family for four days during the second week of July. First of all I want to say that the staff was friendly and the resort was kept clean. If you're looking for a holiday that consists of relaxing, not doing too much and going to bed early, this place might be what you're looking for. Amenities are older and very basic so do not expect much. Treasure Island in general seemed to be a bit seedy and rundown. The back of our room overlooked a deserted resort next door. Our families consisted of teenagers and we were very disappointed that the pool was not open past 9:00 pm. There is not much for teens to do besides go to the beach and swim in the pool during the day. We were also disappointed that there weren't any towels to use at the beach. As we travelled from the west coast of Canada we did not bring our own. It was necessary for us to go and purchase some while we were there. We also had the experience of the cleaning staff leaving our room unlocked for the day while we went to Busch Gardens. Luckily nothing was taken.
Both families discussed our experience and agreed that we would not recommend this place. Try one of the bigger resorts down the beach or on a different island. The beach however was beautiful!

Spent Father's Day weekend there. Extremely friendly staff; accomodating in EVERY WAY. The room and pool was exceptionally clean. The beach is just a few steps away. Couldn't have chosen a nicer place. Quiet and peaceful. Will recommend to all our Central FL friends who are now lost since so many of the privately owned motels are disappearing in Treasure Island.

We stayed at the Arvilla the first week of June for two nights. If you like a 1950's motel, this place is great! Quiet, clean and relaxing. The staff (Mary Kay) was great! Helpful, friendly, and informative. Our kids loved the pool and there are pool toys right at the pool to use. We also grilled hamburgers on the charcoal grill and ate at the pool one night. We will definitely return to this motel.

There are two families along with a total of 8 of us. We all enjoyed it here.

From Eagan, MN. Our family, mom, dad, and 7 and 5 year old children, just returned from our first Gulf Beach vacation.
We really enjoyed our time at the Arvilla. The kids did not want to leave the pool or the comfy beds.
Mom and Dad appreciated the separate bedroom with its own air conditioning.
The resort was quiet. The service from Jim and Val was exceptional! They were always willing to help with directions and recommendations for outings.
In the room we appreciated the separate, closed off entry way so we could store our "shell collection" and any other stinky, sandy beach gear and keep it out of our room. The rooms were clean. A little small for a family of 4 but doable since most of our time was spent exploring nature, visiting nearby John's Pass, swimming in the awesome pool, or hitting the beach.
The price seemed a little high, but was comparable to other locations that did not have as good of reviews.
We would recommend and go back.
