Turn down Dodecanese Blvd., just off of Alternate Rt. 19 and you've entered Greece and the World of 'sponges'. There in the midst of it all is Mamma's Restaurant. Inside they offer dining as well as an open air area that is just perfect for the occasion of getting off your feet and relaxing to a pleasant experience. It's comfortable and welcoming. The Greek woman of blonde hair has charisma and a genuine smile with a twinkle in her eye that is just delightful. Best of all is the food. It is fabulous. You start out with fresh soft 1' sliced bread served with olive oil and spices and butter to add if you so choose. The house Greek dressing is to die for. We had the boiled large shrimp and the Octopus 'Greek style'. Both entrees were '10' on a scale of 1-10. The waitress was terrific. Prompt and accommodating. She even sweetened the deal with an extra portion of baklava for desert. We highy recommend this place if you are in the vicinity of the 'sponges' there in Tarpon Springs,FL.
