“Best Greek food I have had in North America”

I am from Toronto where there is the largest Greek population outside of Greece and I was very surprised and impressed to find the best Greek food I have ever had in Tarpon Springs, FL. I frequently have Greek food; at least once a week at different restaurants and frequents "The Danforth Greek Village" in Toronto

Everything was sooooo fresh and tasty. The staff was very friendly. The food was served fairly quickly. They were by far the best pitas, gyros, souvlaki, potatoes and greek salad. My husband also enjoyed the two for one draft beer at one $2.25. They are also very baby friendly at the restaurant. There is a baby change table in the restroom.

When you visit Tarpon Springs, FL you definitely have to visit Mama's.

Just got back from eating at Mama's in Tarpon Springs. Have to say that I am not a fan of Greek food. Never really liked it. But tried the Soulvaki (I think I spelled it correctly) and Greek salad. It was GREAT! I don't think I can eat Greek food any where else. The service is a bit slow but the food was worth waiting for.

“The best Gyros!”

Each person in our family ordered the lunch special Gyro for 7.95 - includes a HUGE gyro, tons of steak fries, a soft drink and dessert. We were stuffed and took home some as well because we couldn't finish it all. The best tasting gyro we ever had! Very friendly staff, pleasant covered outdoor eating area -it was fantastic.
