“Toured but did not stay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2005

I was recently visiting Tarpon Springs and was looking for a quaint B&B for accommodations. I toured the Bavarian Inn but felt it did not meet my expectations of what we were looking for. The Innkeepers were pleasant, however the rooms were not to my liking. I felt that they were too close together and was concerned about privacy. I did not feel that the atmosphere was Victorian and felt that the decor was put together without much thought of comfort. We went down the road and discovered the Spring Bayou Inn. This met and exceeded all our expectations. See my review under their listing labeled pleasant surprise.

This B&B was a delight the inn keepers demonstrated Canadian hospitality to the fullest.
The accomodations were very comfortable and the breakfasts very hardy to the appetite..
Thanks Lynn and Dave

Lynn, Had a really great weekend. Thanks to you and Dave and your wonderfully warm hospitality. We came home feeling as if we had spent time with treasured friends. We have visited a number of B&B but have never enjoyed any as much as we enjoyed our time with you.
God Bless,
Joe & Carolyn Davis

I stayed two nights at the lovely Bavarian Inn Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are uniquely decorated with a variety of amenities. Dave and Lynn were friendly and served wonderful fresh and nutritious breakfast foods. They advised us where to dine and shop in Tarpon Springs. It was a great experience and I long to return.

Innkeepers Dave and Lynn welcomed us like friends even though we just walked in off the street without a reservation! We spent June 13 & 14 with them while exploring Tarpon Springs and felt right at home with the Inn's comfortable accommodations (first floor King+ room with outside entrance). We met a wonderful couple from Canada who were retracing a trip she took over 20 years ago. Both Dave and Lynn were very helpful in suggesting things to do and see, where to eat, which boat trip to take, how to get to the Post Office, etc. If we ever return to Tarpon Springs, it will be to the lovely Bavarian Inn! Stay here, not in a big, impersonal hotel!

This was the first time we stayed in a B & B. Dave & Lynn welcomed us & went out of their way to make us feel we were staying at a good friends home, not a hotel. The room was very comfortable & the large wrap around porch was a great place to relax. A delicious breakfast was served in a antique filled dining room. Tarpon Springs is one of the few places left in Florida that still has feel of history & slow pace of small town. It is a refreshing change from the over crowded tourist oriented norm. The sponge dock area has lots of nice shops & "really good" restaurants. There are nice golf courses nearby & of course fishing options galore. We changed plans for our next vacation to return here for a longer stay. (I think this says it all)

Myself and 6 of my sister Red Hatters stayed 2 nights at Dave & Lynn's Bavarian B&B and it was wonderful. They make you feel like company. They cannot do enough for you. The rooms are all different and very charming - and very clean. Everything you might need including a small refrigerater. It is in a very nice part of Tarpon Springs. Quiet, trees, 2 nice porches to sit on in the evening or in the morning with your coffe. It is in walking distance to antique stores, the trolly, dining, wine factory (great wine), bank, churches. The full home cooked breakfasts were wonderful. There is a large TV and VCR in each bedroom and a large TV and DVD in the living room. It was nice meeting other quests. Very intimate. You don't feel like you do when you go to a hotel-with a bunch of strangers. It is like visiting some great friends. We are already planning our return trip. We cannot say enough about the Bavarian Inn. Kathleen Conneway and Kathy's Klassy Kats - Red Hatter's. Fort Myers, Fl
