“Loved this restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

Enjoyed a fabulous Mother's Day Brunch with a table looking out at the water. The brunch buffet had so much variety & the quality of food was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the fresh carved turkey & prime rib. The seafood was fantastic as were the fresh made waffles & eggs.
The dining room is spotless & the staff very friendly & efficient without being intrusive.
Looking forward to a return visit for rooftop evening dining or the dinner theatre!

Loved it!

“Terrible experience from start to finish”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Five of my college friends were visiting from out of town (PA/OH) and we were looking for a nice restaurant, good food, and a good atmosphere. I called and made a reservation early in the day. When we arrived it appeared they didn’t have the reservation, however when a second hostess came by, they found our reservation. We were seated outdoors as requested. It took a very long time for the waiter to take our drink order and even longer to get our drinks. We ordered appetizers, again a very long wait, and then they were brought to the table with no silverware and no plates to eat from. By the time we got both of these, the appetizers were getting cold. Our waiter never asked if we were ready to order… a member of our party had to say – we haven’t ordered dinner yet, can you please take our order?

When our food came we had to request that our appetizer dishes be removed and remind him of a drink one member of our party ordered as he had forgotten it. Of the seven dinners ordered, two were happy with their meals. Three of us had the almond crusted grouper which turned out to have a substance similar to jelly on top of it versus the passion fruit reduction that was described on the menu. One’s food was ice cold. When she mentioned it to the waiter, his response was “what would you like me to do?”. She said I don’t think you can reheat the fish so he just took the food away. The waiter never asked if she’d like something else or if he could have a new plate made for her. My husband ordered the Captain’s platter blackened. When his meal came, it was not blackened and his fish was watery and cold. He likewise was not offered a new meal.

After asking to speak with a manager, my husband was told that he did not order his meal blackened and he asked what we expected in terms of temperature when sitting outside… ummm hot food maybe??

After 2 ½ hours, no dinner for two in our party, and three of us not happy with our meal, this “manager” took the two meals that we never received off of our bill! That was it! He was arrogant, obnoxious, and acted like that was doing a big favor by deducting something which they took back to the kitchen and never replaced.

The final straw was that the 18% gratuity was already included in the check which our waiter in no way, shape or form deserved.

I couldn’t have been more disappointed, and my friends will forever remember the “horrible restaurant we went to at the sponge docks”.

“Poorly managed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Large party for 80th birthday party. Waiter made announcement at beginning saying basically to expect lousy service as it was Saturday at 7 pm, even though reservation made 6 weeks in advance so they had time to plan accordingly. Food came out randomly, a few got appetizer, salad and entree at the same time. Sea Bass was fishy and terrible, Ribeye was overdone, Grouper was the smallest I have ever been served. We had wine on the table and had to search out our own glasses and serve ourselves. Dinner took over 2 hours and some did not even eat the food it was such poor quality. They charge a hefty$$$ and an 18% gratuity. They should be ashamed of the poor quality and poor service. The location is nice, servers try, but are overwhelmed. Basically it comes down to very poor management. I would NOT recommend for dinner, especially on a weekend.

“It Needs "Restaurant Impossible"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

On a not busy late Sunday aft, sloppy entry, inattentive greeter, almost non-existent service, tiny/watery cocktails,.... We left after ordering food, but had to leave before we starved to death. However, nice sunest.

“Glad they serve Pappas salad.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This restaurant used to be Pappas; they had the best Greek salad with Greek potato salad at the bottom. Riverside has kept that salad so we went there for lunch. It was very good. We also had lobster bisque, and lemon chicken soup, both good. Our server was very gracious. We had a window seat so were watching the boats and pelicans on the river.
