My wife and I just came home from the Bayou Inn. We have done the B&B thing before and I must say that this place was the best we have been at. We arrived in the middle of the week and basically had the house to ourselves. We found things to be comfortable and clean. The host was very friendly and saw to it all our needs were met. His personality made you feel like you were home rather than just a lodger. This is definatly not a bacon & egg breakfast place. Our meals were superb! Our host was a fine cook and our meals were tasty. We had wonderful omlets, potatoes, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. To sum this up, : staying here is great and the service is top notch! We will be back again! We have also recomended Bayou Inn to some of our friends.

Were looking for a place to stay that was close to the Sponge Docks and offered the same sort of old world charm. Did not feel that a chain hotel on a busy road was going to do that, so we decided on Spring Bayou Inn - and are very glad we did. The house is a rambling victorian with several rooms to choose from.

As we planned to sightsee and come in and out a bit, we decided on The Hibiscus Suite which is behind the kitchen and has it own kitchenette w/ fridge and rear/outside entry. Only found one drawback - and that's because we are not early risers. That suite is a little noisy earlier in the morning since Bill is in the kitchen preparing that morning's breakfast delight. Otherwise, we were very happy with the room and B&B as a whole & the breakfasts were worth it!

The welcome & attitude towards us & our questions was always pleasant. The breakfasts were very good - not just your standard fare. Bottled water, sodas, coffee, cookies & fruit were always available. Our room was clean & spacious.

The place is for sale as one other reviewer noted. But we did not feel that our experience was lessened in any way.

The home is on a nostalgic brick street, just off the main drag back & forth to the Sponge Docks. It would be a bit of a walk to the Sponge Docks, but is in a beautiful, historic area. It is only 1/2 block to Craig Park where you can see other beautiful homes & landscaping as well as have a water view.

We came & went quite a bit and liked having our own entry directly off the back of the house. The location was reasonably quiet, considering its proximity to Alt 19. But that also made it very convenient as well.

The price was slightly less than what I had considered spending at Hampton Inn on Hwy 19. It had great reviews too. But that road is a madhouse and frankly, we enjoyed escaping the reality of that hustle by being at Spring Bayou and keeping most of our outings west of that rat race.

It was a pleasant & relaxing trip - facilitated by staying at Spring Bayou - just what we needed. We will recommend to others.

Bill makes you feel like you are at home. Charming and beautiful period house, fine wooden detail and woodwork. Food is excellent and delicious.
Quiet, charming, clean and very welcoming.

Went for my husband's birthday and found the Inn to be charming, peaceful and relaxing. Bill was a wonderful host with many interesting stories of the Inn. We found our stay so delightful that we stayed at the Inn more than we ventured out in the city. We have another trip planned for March and can't wait. Lincy and Marc, Keystone Heights, Fla

Very personable host who treated us like family, without any interruptions. The room was lovely, the entire house was very clean and well taken care of, and we woke up to a nice leisurely breakfast on Sunday morning. It was just the charming, quiet place we needed for a weekend getaway!

Owners are very nice and pleasant. The decor is charming and authentically Victorian. The bed is very comfortable! Everything was clean and exactly what we expected. Breakfast was delicious and the owner let us sit and talk with the other guests without even hinting that it was getting close to check out time. Will definitely return. Tarpon Springs has wonderful antique stores, an excellent collectible book store and the sponge docks are loads of fun!

We only stayed one night, however our host was an amazing fellow! Extremely personable, a wonderful cook and the place was just out of this world! What a gorgeous place to stay! Highly recommended!

From the time we arrived, it was like we were staying at a little private cottage as we had our own keys, and could come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was really top notch and the room was very nice.

When we come back to the area, we're looking to stay with you once again!
