Expensive, yes but Bern's is an experience in itself! The menu can be somewhat intimidating when selecting the cut and degree of "doneness" for your entree but I can't imagine anyone complaining about the quality of the dinner nor of the attentive and expert service. If you still have room for dessert, you then move on to the 2nd floor where you are in a more intimate atmosphere. The only somewhat negative thoughts that come to mind are that it was somewhat noisy, there were no windows, no view and... the colors as you come into the entrance/lobby... reds and golds... made me think of a bordello. This establishment is ideal for business people with spending accounts or friends who feel like splurging a bit. Couples celebrating a special event/anniversary may not find it romantic but it does make for a special evening nevertheless.
