We booked the hotel for Gasparilla and weren't quite sure what to expect since we are not from the area and had heard mixed reviews of Ybor City. We were pleasantly surprised to see this beautiful hotel when we drove up and friendly staff when we walked in. The area was also very pretty and clean and it was so close to the major clubs/bars in Ybor that it was the perfect location. Also, they offered a free shuttle service to the Gasparilla parade which was an unexpected surprise! Definitely worth the price!

New lobby with a bar, great breakfast service and a staff eager to accomodate. We were first assigned a room right beside the elevator which was annoying every time it moved. Asked to be moved to another room and there was no hesitation to do so. Our stay was delightful and the hotel makes travel to most areas of Tampa easy. Would definitely stay again!!

In Tampa for a conference, great location in Ybor City for fun and dining. Great place to people watch. Although the hotel was under renovations, the staff did their best to make their guests comfortable. Room size is on a larger size, especially if you get the room with the King. Will stay there again next year. I've stayed here a least 7 times in the last several years.

I've stayed at this Hotel several times in the past few years, most recently a week ago. I was truly dismayed to see the lobby under construction, as I was not informed of this when I booked the hotel 3 months earlier. The good news is that the construction was almost finished when I checked out. It is convenient to Ybor attractions of course, but the shuttle will take you downtown or the Cruise terminals when needed, but not the airport. I also enjoy taking the trolley downtown which the Ybor stop is only 1 block away. I've even taken the trolley to its termination downtown and walked 2 blocks to Kennedy Blvd. and taken the # 30 bus to the Airport. No problem!

Wes, the day manager and his staff are very helpful, friendly and work hard to make your stay enjoyable and trouble free. The rooms are clean and well appointed, though not brand new, still in fine shape. I will surely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn next time I'm in the Tampa/Ybor area.
