We spent 6 days at the Quality inn in late January, its a bit out of the way but they gave us the number of a taxi company who promptly picked us up at the airport for a reasonable price. Check in went well and the staff were helpful. We paid about $80 a night taxin. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast buffet was good. The weather was a bit on the chilly side so we didn't see any body in the pool but the music was loud around the pool and we wondered if the noise would have been to much for the rooms around the pool. We used the public transport to get around, $4 for a day pass. The bus into Ybor City and Tampa is a 10 to 15 minute walk away and ran about every half hour. in the same area around the bus stop are about 5 mainly fast food restaurants and a Chinese one about 5 minutes away, food was so so. If l had one complaint against the hotel it was when we came home one night and the door to our room was not shut properly. lt appears the maids when they leave just let the doors close on there own steam instead of pulling them shut. We were lucky that in our section there weren't many guests so there wasn't much traffic. We complained to the front desk and the manager but were not given to much reassurance that it wouldn't happen again. After that we made sure everything was put in the safe . On a couple of occasions we noticed other rooms with their doors closed but not pulled shut.
