This hotel work out wonderfully before our cruise out of Tampa. Free shuttle from the airport, free wifi, continental breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel was a great value and we were really happy with our stay here.

Good walks near the bay. Close to the airport, but not so close that you hear the airplanes taking off and landing. Easy access to the highway system. Short bridge ride to St. Petersburg. Has a number of good eateries near by. Very competitive prices. Positive and forward leaning staff. Room are Ok though they could use some TLC. That being said I would stay there again, if back in the area.

The hotel was conveniently located to Tampa Airport; the check-in staff and other employees were very gracious and helpful. The young woman at the desk was extremely helpful to me with the wireless set-up and even went beyond what would be required of her in her position.

The condition of the hotel in general was pretty shabby--dirty carpets, showers that didn't work or had parts missing, amenities minimal. I didn't get the sense that the hotel had updated its facilities in some time; however, my room was quiet and serviceable, minus the comments above. The best aspect of my stay there was the helpfulness of the staff--they were marvelous.

asked for king non smoking with refrigerator , got twin beds no refrigerator for same cost(with reservation)
hot water in shower was non existent
wall paper was hanging off of walls
carpet was either in the middle of being replaced, or was torn and disrepaired.
no good help from the desk personell about the mistake (on their part, I showed them the reservation confirmations)
go to a cheap motel in a seedy part of time....you will pay a lot less, but they obviously might try harder.

I can only assume the good reviews were from a different time period as this place is falling apart in January 2013.
