I stayed here during the week leading up to Gasparilla festival and they evidently priced it accordingly. The breakfast room is cramped and thrifty, fitness center on the second floor is barren and turning left off Horace onto Falkenburg in the mornings can be hazardous. Although the breakfast features typical Hampton Inn amenities which are adequate there wasn't much space available in the dining area to find seating or standing room at the high table without bumping into fellow guests. The fitness center has a treadmill, a recumbent bike and an elliptical in front of a tv which is loud because the floor has no carpeting and the accoustics of the room are poor; no free weights or other options there. The reception was friendly but they wouldn't hold luggage during a Saturday night while away because they stated the hotel was unsecured which led me to wonder about the general security. Generally the place needs an interior facelift, especially considering the price paid for the room. I didn't feel there was good value here.

We originally booked 2 nights here but moved to the Hilton Garden Inn after the first night and it was so much nicer and actually quite a bit less expensive than the Hampton Inn Brandon.

This was the worst Hampton Inn we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in quite a few. I don't know if our room was typical but this is what we got.

The room was really, really dark -- only one small window on one side of the room. On the other side of the window wall was a dark wood desk and dark wood tall wardrobe (instead of a closet) -- as I said the room was dark but the view outside was a bunch of trucks so we didn't miss much.

The bathroom was so small --- the small sink was angled so when you opened the door you had to squeeze in to clear the sink. There was an overpowering smell of disinfectant in the bathroom and there was residue of something that was sprayed on all the faucets.

The fridge made a loud humming noise all night long as it cycled off and on. And then there was the train noise! The hair dryer was missing, just the bag was provided. The breakfast area was just OK, definitely not as good as other Hamptons, and looked like it was unattended and not as clean. As we were packing up to leave, Housecleaning knocked on the door, then Maintenance, then someone was outside our room loudly shampooing the carpet--we couldn't get out of their fast enough!

A clean and enjoyable hotel with friendly staff, with all the features of a hampton inn, including breakfast and free wifi. Nice location near the highway and a tree-lined property. I was concerned that the semi-truck facility next door would be loud at night, but it wasen't noticeable once you close the curtain (lights are on at the facility all night).

Just what you expect. Hit all the boxes. Staff is great. Typical Hilton property. Location for the area is easy to get to but access back to highway can be dicey due to traffic on Falkenburg and difficult left hand turn.
