If you want to see Busch Gardens and other sightseeing in this area, this is a good choice of a place to stay. The outside of the building is very attractive and the lobby is large and feels uncrowded.
The staff, without exception, is made up of nice people who seem dedicated to really making guests happy. One great benefit of staying here is the shuttle service that takes you right to Busch Gardens so you can leave your car behind and not worry about parking and maneuvering through traffic. This is what I love on a vacation.
I am not wild over the color scheme of rooms. We would never stay in double bed rooms because it is not comfortable and we like to stretch out and have lots of room even in bed together. Our bed at home is queen sized so I wish they would replace the double beds with queens and make those room queen rooms but it is better to splurge and pay for a huge room with a king bed and pull out sofa.
There is an exercise room which is adequate though not as big as I expect from a hotel with these rates and the pool is shocking- looks like a kiddie pool or for visiting hobbits. Even the cheap motels have bigger pools! Then again maybe we are too used to staying at Disney resorts and luxury hotels.
The business center is very useful, at least to us.
This is a really good place to stay. The breakfast is wonderful-maybe 40 items including some great pastries and muffins plus many other breakfast favorites. Don't miss out on this breakfast!
The only complaint I have is about rude, noisy oafs in other rooms who have parties and seem to have little or no respect for others but this is in no way the hotel's fault. The staff works hard to take care of guests and make guests feel like visiting family and that is something you just can't buy for any price at even the most expensive hotels which often have surly, snooty, or lazy staff. That is definitely not the case here.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tampa.
