Many of The University of South Carolina alumni stayed at the Intercontinental during the Outback Bowl. Our room was very clean, maid service was good and all of the staff were polite and very efficient. The night before the game, we spent a lot of time in the bar watching other bowl games on several of their TVs. Bar staff were great, friendly, and accommodating.

The hotel is situated in a great shopping/restaurant area, since right across the street from the hotel is a huge shopping center with several restaurants, as well as mall stores. This location has everything. Eat at Mitchell's Seafood Restaurant -- it's great.

Flew into Tampa for the weekend and we booked a hotel room blind, when we arrived we were greeted by Jordan who was extremely hospitable(wish I could say the same about William who seems to refuse to smile or engage in any conversation) and took great care of us. Jordan had even slipped us a complementary breakfast voucher under our door that night so we woke up to a nice surprise. The hotel overall is very accessible to the freeway and makes it very easy to get anywhere in Tampa. For a short stay or business this place is great if its more of a family visit or vacation this hotel probably wouldn't be the most accommodating the pool area is very small. A side from William at the front desk every staff member was extremely polite and always helpful weather it be on the phone or in person.

Stayed at this hotel many times - mostly great Priceline bidding results for this hotel, too. Visit this week was not up to the usual high standards. My room required a long wait for luke warm water. The restaurants - Shula's and the one in the lobby by the bar - were not having quite the usual excellent service. On a plus side, quickest check-in ever and room was very clean and quiet. A charge for internet wifi in the lobby is not usual for top hotels, but this one has it. Shula's is usually the best - great service and food. Salads exceptional, and the breakfast buffet normally has excellent food - not the simulated food at some - with tasteless fruit and berries etc. Somehow, Shula's normally gets first quality people to be waiters. Usually superb service. Had some nice conversations with them over the years, too.

Intercontinental Hotel AAA ++++ great hotel clean and good service. Perfect for placer and bussiness, I stayed for two nights and everything was great. Everything close mall, restaurant ,movie theater and more places to enjoy. Rodolfo front desk and Luis housekeeping make me feel like home thank you guys.
